For everyone watching this video and to the channel admin I would like to give some information about my culture. I'm a Tuluva from Mangalore region. We are the people who follow this culture ( Daivaradhane). This was passed on to us by our ancestors. Let me tell you something Daivaradhane is very very different from the Vedic Hinduism, Daivaradhane is a part of Sanathana culture but It's not Vedic culture. There are very strict rules to be followed in this one of the most important rule is that it has Vyaapti , Vyaapti means boundary in the daiva pardhanas it's clearly mentioned that this culture should not cross the boundary of Tulunadu that is from Kasaragod ( Kerala) in the south to Kundapura ( Karnataka) in the north and from the ghats of Tulunadu in the east to the Arabian sea in the west. The daiva pardhanas are the most important aspects in Daivaradhane it tells the origin of the daiva , journey and also about the worship methods which has to be followed exactly in accordance with the pardanas. The pardana mentions the boundary as "Nileshwara gadirdh Ankhola gadi mudayi gatta paddaida kadal undu vyapti" . From thousands of years our ancestors have been following this rule but now everything is getting commercialized. I'm shocked and really really hurt to see our daiva in Mumbai. While our ancestors have been following the pardanas and giving their best to protect the Tuluvas culture some people are ruining everything that they have built. It's heartbreaking for us sir. In the pardhanas it's mentioned that Daivaradhane is constrained to this boundary and it shouldn't go beyond this they even mentioned the reasons for it. And no matter how influencial the person might be if he wants to visit Koragajja or any other daivas they should come here the reason is one being the constrained boundary and the other reason is as I mentioned earlier Daivaradhane is very different from Vedic worship. In Vedic worship we can keep photos of dieties and worship in our households also we can build a temple according to our wish but in Daivaradhane we are not allowed to keep any kind of pictures of our daivas not even paintings in our home and we can build temples for daivas according to our wish. We have Kuladaivas which are meant only for our families and no one else it's passed from our Matrilineal ancestors to us because we follow Matrilineal system. Then we have grama and seeme daivas these daivas are for that particular village or area now outsiders can visit grama daivas or seeme daivas and get solution to their problems then we have adisthalas this is were people from different cultures visit to get solutions . Adisthalas are the origin place or the main temples of the daivas as per the pardanas. Adi= begining , Sthala = place. So if you want to visit the daivasthanas you can visit the adisthalas. But you are not allowed to keep photos of panjurli or Koragajja in your homes because Panjurli is the Kula daiva of the entire Tulu ethnicity. We have other daivas too according to our caste and community but Kallurti- Panjurli, Varte- Panjurli are Kuladaivas to entire Tulu ethnicity not matter what caste or community they belong to. And another reason is that people from ceratin communities are assigned certain role in Daivaradhane. We have 16 Kattles for the worship and the each task should be performed by the person from the particular community to which it was assigned from thousands of years it has been this way even the Daivas say this during the Nema/Kola Ceremony. From past few years this has been going on our daivas are being worshipped beyond the constrained boundary mentioned in the pardanas . Tulu youths and elders have started to raise their voice against this.
