Thanks for the Helpful Information Sir. Just wanted to add some additional helpful information for your viewers. The DS2501 chip you have shown in the diagram can be purchased for different wattage levels. Replace the component with a new DS2501 of the specific wattage you want the laptop to recognise charger to be. Laptop will read the new wattage information from the new component. Hope it helps.

I have a Lenovo Helix ultrabook pro.The adapter has 12v 3a output. DO you know the pinout of the power plug? It is a smaller version of the one with the middle ID pin.. Which pin is +12v, 0v and ground? Is there a ID pin? I am trying to use a generic12v supply.

There is so much glue on my 20 year old 2004 set here that the left channel has gone lower power & all garbely like it's being overpowered. Hello, Marius! Could you somehow record Firstline's Remote "child lock" InfraRed signal, which is being sent when you press "child lock" button? So that anyone could emulate that signal on some Universal Remote or Infrared signal emitter? This should be much easier to reproduce instead of flashing EPROM. Because you did quite a lot of work there.
