The Supra is more unique than the c8. Toyota kept the same design of front engined and rwd + super tunable. Objectively the Z is worse than the supra in every metric. Slower on the track. Worse handling. Slower in a straight line. Supra is better quality on the inside. Exterior looks more exotic on the Supra. And really you bring up sales figures? Toyota sells every supra they make and allocations aren’t easy to get. I’m pretty sure Toyota could sell more if they wanted and isn’t the Z cheaper anyways? I’ve never heard someone say they’d want a Z over a 3.0 supra.

@@carswithnate Because you hang out with gay Boyz.So when Z outsells Supra almost 2 -1 t's only because Toyota doesn't want to sell anymore Supra's lmfao.Z Performance 56k Nismo 66k.Supra 61k sounds about the same ball park.Z is nostalgic and gorgeous car.My best man is GM at Nissan store they sell every Z they can get their hands on.They have sold 22 so far the average age is 56 years old.These cars will be in a garage weekend drive cars to real men with careers.He said 20 of the 22 paid cash.FYI he said none asked whether the Supra was .2 faster 0-60 or did the 1/4 mile .3 faster or ran a lap time 2 seconds quicker.Your the one with the screwed up views enjoy your fag Supra.Just quit talking shit about other people who could careless about a lap time and just enjoy the car they have chosen.You should love the Z,MUSTANG,SUPRA,VETTE....BECAUSE THES CARS ARE A DYING BREED!

I know I joked about the price (and do with all cars these day) I guess when compared to what's out there Toyota has managed to keep the Supra down in price. And still it performs and looks good. Though I must take issue with that "Mustard Yellow" color. It's a bit drab, and a brighter pigment of yellow I think would look better, especially with the addition of some side racing strips in black. And maybe some black hood louvres. Call me crazy but I love yellow cars. And this still looks good.

There's only 1 problem with the Video. It's NOT under $60,000 if you want an engine for your Toyota Supra. lol Actually buying a Supra isn't the "hard part". It's affording the monthly insurance premium that's more than your car payment. lol

Best track time at ecr w/supra? Also, general comparison to 992 911 on track non-gt3? Have a supra sitting at 2:04 - 2:05 with aero, tune ,ap front brakes, and 200 tw tires. But thinking of switching to 992 CS as it felt similar performance without mods.

stock setup w/ hankook rs4 tires the fastest we got was 2:07. The 911’s feel way better on track, night and day. I run 2:01-2:02 on stock setup on my 992 gts. The Carrera S with sport design and pdcc will be the same speed as your Supra stock.

The only thing the c8 has over the emira is horsepower. If power really matters that much then why not get a tesla plaid that will smoke a c8 in the straights? On throttle house the emira got a faster lap time than the c8, so even being underpowered it ran a faster lap with a manual gearbox than the c8

@@carswithnate C8 is a mid engine car. Handles very well. There is a good youtube comparison out there between both and C8 wins. The c8 doesn't have a manual option.

I haven’t driven this car at cresson but drove some other cars there. With cup 2’s and camber plates this is very close to a 991.2 gt3

I agree. The video is just to show that they are very close on the track despite the turbo being a lot more expensive and more horsepower. Porsche doesn’t sponsor me for these videos so I don’t have the choice to pick equally spec cars lol

The First Edition Emira comes standard with the lower black pack which includes the carbon flash lower front and side skirts and side vents. The optional upper black pack adds not only the black roof and side mirrors, but also (as opposed to chrome) the black Lotus rear lettering and black exhaust tips. As much as I loved my 2020 and moreso my ++ loaded 2023 C8 Stingrays, I prefer my Emira. They’re 2 completely different vehicles with the Emira cornering better, less refined and more “raw”, so more of a true sport car feel. You’re also more connected to the Emira with its manual transmission. I had a manual with my 2005 BMW M3 cabriolet that was far smoother. The Emira is more “notchy” so more effort but IMO that adds to its raw sporty feeling. This being my first Lotus, I now understand the Lotus description as a more engaging sport car, which isn’t for everyone if you’re into a more luxurious and effortless drive. You’re correct that you can’t get this type of car anywhere else for this price. Unfortunately many people don’t know Lotus, so won’t realize that. Thanks for the great review.

To even be considered luxury you NEED the S or the V6. Agreed nothing handles like a Macan in terms of an SUV. I have had two. Even used they run 80k. My wife’s Turbo, her second is 8 years old and still looks fresh, but you need a V6, period.

I bought an FL5 civic type R last year and noticed when trying to get up to speed it seemed to do it much more easily when the front windows were down myself also. Wanted to see if anyone else experienced the same thing. I wonder if wind direction and speed plays a role in it.

Yes but Porsches are more reliable than those two. But ultimately, nicer cars will always be more expensive for parts and service. If you think porsche is expensive you should see what it costs to replace the brakes on a Ferrari 😂

Engine is pretty bullet proof. I’ve put a lot of tracks miles and only had to do oil changes.

@carswithnate ....until it's not....BMW engineering and ownership have their price after the warranty expires. BMWs are not known for their long-term reliability. I've owned 8 of them. All I can say is, "Good Luck!". And don't forget to keep $5-10K extra in your bank account annually after the warranty expires..or, heaven forbid, the timing chain tensioners or guides, or timing chains themselves start wearing prematurely and need replacement.

@edwards4409 1 review team got within 2 tenths of a second (hagarty) of the quarter mile, the rest couldn't do better than half a second most much worse. The Z can't cone near the track times, the nismo doesn't have a manual option and is much more expensive. The Z at the supras price point doesn't compete and the supra delivers those perfoemance numbers to most all its drivers not just the professionals that managed to get those numbers on a perfect day with perfect launches. I've raced a few Zs already in my 21 supra and my 2017 m240i rwd and they couldn't come close to either car. Then once modified mod for mod the gap open up to bus lengths even red-light to redlight

Yes you’re right but in person when you’re sitting in the car you don’t really notice the size difference that much. It feels more like a super face lifted evora. I would have liked more horsepower since the car can handle it

@carswithnate yeah they're the same dimensions. I have one, plenty of power for the road, higher RPM gives more. A simple exhaust and intake will add enough power... but thwy had to comply with emissions, hence the 6800rpm, instead of 7200rpm

You can tell, while driving this car, that probably 75% of the development budget went in to the driving experience. Its a beast. Its as close to supercar you can get without paying 100k, and I'm convinced that unmodified well-kept examples will be priceless in the future
