This version of the song makes it sound like a kid who has been abused so much by his family that they end up running away to find a better family. Yes, I am aware that would be a very heartbreaking and cruel thing to even think about. But you get what I mean.

Haha me✌️ cept I was adopted and the better family is my biological family who loves me and accepts me cept I can’t run away it’s illegal and my adoptive parents force me to stay with them cept this morning I woke up and found out my adoptive mother is leaving so that’s why I’m listening to this song hopefully this will lead to them letting me live with my real dad and little brother 😅
