How many cylinder heads, transmissions, head lights or anything else you needed to replace or have worked on. These vehicles are notorious for major breakdowns. Perhaps you got one of the well built ones. There are tons of horror stories out there about these vehicles. Congratulations though, that is an accomplishment.

Yep...that was 4 years and 2 phones ago. I hated that camera. BUT.. the sound quality isnt too bad on it. It brought the bass out. Now...go back to bed.

It is just what it says. I am playing the guitar. Recorder by a guy named Eban Schletter (google him. He is kinda famous now) on a shitty 1987 VHS recorder. I drove it to about 580,000. Then My company gave me a brand new 2019. But someone bought it and it is still running as far as I know.

69zenos1 Damn. Questions: What weight oil did you uses (5W20 or 5W30... or 0W...)? How often did you change the oil? How heavy were your loads? And did you idle a little, a lot...? We’re you cross country or just had a big area? Thanks for any info! Drive safe out there!

@@VocalVirgo 5w20, every 8500 but no more than 9000. Loads varied. But rarely over 2,500. I tried not to take heavy loads into mountain areas. I rarely idled and I usually used the cruise control on freeway instead of accelerator. Hardly using brake pedal. driving lower 48. Mainly Detroit to Texas. Again, avoid mountains whenever possible. I no longer do this job. Too unhealthy after awhile and not enough consistent pay.

@@VocalVirgo most important....run no more than 2000RPM. You'll save a ton of gas and your transmission. Dont be in a hurry. It doesn't pay in the end to rush. Enjoy the scenery. And be careful of the 18 wheelers. They are aholes. Not all but many are. They have tried to run me off the road a few times.

That was originally my song. It was called "Black Eye Blues." The lyrics were originally about 3 separate incidents about how a 3 different guys got a black eye and maybe some stitches. One of them was me. I let Shock change the lyrics cause I wanted to humor him and I was just happy to be in the band. But I must admit, this version sounds much better than Speed Queens version. But my lyrics were much better than Shock's...

This time wasnt as extreme as the first time. The first time i had to run to the shoulder. I figured it was a rookie driver until the 2nd time. I will call the safety dept. At that company on Monday.

That's awesome, how many times were the spark plugs changed, and how often did you change the oil? I have a 2015 with 164,000 miles.

Don't know about the plugs...but the oil every 8000 miles. This van ended up with almost 580,000 miles before retired from fleet this July 2019.

funny or odd... I have 2 promasters where I serviced the oil every 3000 miles. both 2016. a 1500 and a 2500. on the 1500, at 70k miles=no motor. on the 2500, at 130k miles, new head and 2 cams. cared for, not rodded. junk, I'd say! never again dodge!
