You don't land with two feet in the steeplechase. I hate seeing people do that since I'm a steeplechase runner. You run up to it, jump on it, then push off with one foot and land with one foot in the water and one foot out of the water ideally.

I've high jumped into the ground once. I barely hit the mat and mostly hit the ground. It's not as bad as it looks

how is it not as bad as it looks? it fully depends on how much mat you actually hit and in this video it was really hard to tell

@@legendlambohcr2785 I hit the mat about as much as the dude in the video. Maybe I slid a little more? Which gave me a burn on my shoulders. From the looks of the dude and the height he was jumping, it was probably taller than when I jumped, but either way, I don't get why you're doubting me so hard. If you jumped it, then you can say I'm wrong. If not, just shut your mouth about when I say it's not as bad as it looks ☺️

@@OrtegaSauce the only thing I was implying is that when you "mostly" hit hard ground after jumping like anything over 1,5m, there's a serious risk of back injury or at least a few seconds of not being able to breathe. i was just trying to contribute my own experience (I've landed on my back from like 1m on sand and that already hurt more than it looked like)

@legendlambohcr2785 the lowest height I was at when I hit the ground was attempting the jump over 5 feet, just barely over 1.5 meters. Like I said, I slid on the mat about as much or maybe slightly more than him, which gave me a little cushion, as he had just he slid off the mat as well. I lost my breath for a moment as I'm sure he did as well, and neither he nor I went straight into the ground. So yours, while it might have been shorter, might've felt worse based on the fact that you straight up had no cushion while I had little and I would assume the person in the video also had a little bit of cushion, as he and I were attempting to jump into a mat but the momentum took us off.

My friends was running 110 hurdles, knocked the first one over, approaches the second hurdle, pushes it down and steps over it… I’m still clowning him abt that😭😭

0:26 I think I can safely assume this is 400m hurdles based on the lactic it looks like they have 😂 this is exactly what I was afraid of every time I did 400m hurdles Actually, one time I did fall in the final at nationals. One second I was jumping and the next second I was on the ground looking at the sky wondering how I got there. Anyway, I got up at the speed of light and finished the race …last 😂 I had grazes everywhere and they had to be cleaned with rubbing alcohol and it stung so bad
