started playing dad when it released playtest 3 and ive been in love. honestly lost interest in the game until i picked it back up months later after druid came out. been loving the game. ive always played similar games and never ha issues with it. but this game just feels so indirectely like dark and darker, it thrown me off, and made me stay away from it. idk why its like thi for this specific medivel extraction genre for me, but its so specfiic, and there hasnt been much midevil fantasy games lately that have hit big. maybe thats why. the game still looks good though. not gonna lie.

I just want Dark and Darker, but with 3/5ths the HP of Dungeonborne lol. DnD has been getting annoying with trying to start with nothing, going into the 2nd game with like 100 Gear score, then running into someone with a purple weapon, blue cloak, and mostly greens who can 2-3 hit you.

Dungeonborne is a lot of fun and to be fair, he has no idea that he needs to work on getting his passives, in the arena he almost never had passives. Just something you gotta learn but the game is a lot of fun imo

This video is pretty much all I've seen of DB, but tbh seems like both games have things they do better. They have clearly different paces and game-feels they are aiming for though. DaD is definitely slower, a little more clunky in some respects, and a lot of the polarizing choices in the game seem to fit that well. Spell slots as opposed to "mana" for example. DB has some differences that seem interesting, and totally different energy to the animations and pacing of the combat (especially magic) which seem like they target a slightly different audience tbh. I could see myself playing both, but I think I would probably still prefer DaD. Some healthy competition and devs being informed by the choices the other game(s) are making could improve both games ideally, and both could probably use some improving.

I really hate how they move in this and DaD, slowly plodding around and the combat is straight outta morrowind. Not to mention the first hit advantage is nuts and couple that with gear advantages make it feel like shit tbh.
