My heart is breaking right now. Far right rioters are tearing up what's left of Dublin, and I'm watching Instagram stories of Irish people in Canada and England and Germany and Australia comment about how sad that their home is being burned. For the few of us left here, it feels more and more hopeless each day

I was shown this in transition year.. almost nine years later I still listen a couple of times a year. I’m not sure if there’s anything that quite captures the minutia of what it means to be Irish, the good and bad. Amazing

“In awe of all mnà”, and the break in his voice with the following “heartbreak” as he realises the enormity of the struggle that women like this face daily. Breathtaking performance.

When I first watched this I was in London this video was one of the reasons I decided to return home. 9 years later I'm back in the North West of England. Ireland has failed us.

I can actually romanticize that Dublin now. It's just got worse and grimier since. It's really sad.
