It has already worked but at that time didnt have a camera to use , will be posting a video soon , When injecting plastic you want it fast enough to avoid plastic solidifying before feeling mold but slow enough to avoid burning the plastic... And yes using fast speeds burns the plastic it somehow adds more heat something to do with compression- couldnt believe it when i saw it but yah it happens

Professional advice -No you dont want water inside these cylinders. But me being me, i would say, go ahead experiment and tell us how it goes

Restrictor is actually an exhaust port on the valve, its use is to discharge air from the cylinder and also in a way control speed. Since its a double acting cylinder as air gets into one side of the cylinder air on the other side of cylinder needs to be removed for the rod to move. Infact if one closes exhaust port(restrictor) the cylinder rod will not move at all. And by varying the size of the (restrictor) or exhaust port you control speed.

Hi Eddy, when i made the hydraulic power pack ddnt think of filming it, as i ddnt have a channel back then, good news is i will be making an improved lighter version..and yes i will film every bit of the process so brace up for the spoils in roughly two months time though, as i am currently battling to survive due to the terrible economic situation in my country

You Welcome, picked up the control valve (not connected to anything) from scrap yard, it was in such a bad state that i was given for free. luckily when i got home discovered inside o-rings were in mint condition Had to machine buttons to convert valve to manual actuation as it initially used air actuation it actually had small cylinders in it, later i then converted valve to a solenoid control valve to use on my homebuilt plastic injector. What are you planning to build though ? And you will also need to identify the type of cylinders you have before getting a valve for it, valve can either be a One way or Two way control valve..
