6:34 notice the comedic rapport between Paul & George
@yes_head13 сағат бұрын
John flubbing the lyrics to "Twist and Shout" and already not giving a f*ck. That whole "We'll play you out" with an instrumental version of "From Me To You" at the end was pretty bad. The curtain guy was asleep at the switch!

George doesn't seem 100% happy to be there, but he rarely ever did!

Decades later after disbanding, and they sit in the yard playing Ukuleles with Ringo using his legs as drums, and it is still magical. There is no doubt this band had a once in a lifetime artistry.

AdamBound- you pieced this John Lennon HMC Footage very well w/other promos ect. And being added to the RKO interview which I never heard before was excellent. Some of this footage seemed to remind me of Magical Mystery Tour- gone solo w/Lennon in N.Y. (just my take of it). The street food vendor parts, feeding the animals-the kids & Adults who were so lucky to be around Lennon during the filming, John’s whole demeanor was perfect & amusing. I don’t know who the interviewer was but he was pretty good, he asked better than average questions (although he didn’t seem to understand John’s answer about the writing of I’m The Greatest for Ringo & had to be explained more than once) John’s responses were detailed-with an honest frame of mind. I hate to be a downer on this but the only thing missing was Julian Lennon, if he was with John during this filming I’m sure we would have seen a great bonding between them, which is what Julian missed out on. I’am glad Julian & Shaun have a good relationship it really is important for both of them. I really enjoyed this video piece I have not seen a lot of it before(except in some photos). Thanks!

George: "Paul, let me play this guitar bit, to mirror each vocal line. If you tell me I can't, I promise not to resent it for the rest of my life."

Paul McCartney ,in those last couple of years that the Beatles were together, was the driving force that kept the group going. Ringo has admitted this in several interviews, that he and John were lazier by this point. John was growing disinterested in anything but Yoko (ugh!) and if not for Paul, I wonder if some of those great songs in those final two years would even have happened. So good on you, Sir Paul! I have always felt bad for George in that time period, writing very good songs that neither Paul nor John were interested in. Guess he showed them when "All Things Must Pass" came out and was a big success ! These clips sure do take me back in time. Am in my 70s now, but I grew up on their music from 1964 on. For me there will never be another band like them.

You occasionally hear Paul's younger voice come through when he sings live in 2024. He obviously can't sing like this now, his singing voice here in 1968 was incredible.

I'm terrible curious about where that clip at exactly 2:19 comes from where Paul and George say in unison "Cha Cha Boom!" it's so funny and would love to see a longer clip if it exists out there.
