I thought the bottle has to be sealed with the cap on after you add water to the lithium.

Since you’re adding lithium to water and producing hydrogen gas and heat in the sealed bottle that would be a small fire bomb

I've heard of capping and shaking as well, but thought it would be a stupid way to go...you know with exothermic reaction, solvents, alkali metals, hydrogen gas and plastic pressure vessel, sure fire way to get 3rd degree burns

what do i do if i have already informed my employer of the restuarant that i work at that its 95 degrees with the 2 air conditioners on and the swamp cooler is also. there is no change throughout the day? am i able to refuse working in those conditions

It all depends if they have not addressed the issue you have to options. First, you can exercise the right of whistle- blower and contact OSHA and inform them of the issue or number 2. refuse to work in the unsafe work environment and they cannot retaliate against you if you choose either option.
