Love the Stones to this day, but they were never as adventurous and creative then when Brian was with them and motivated. And they never made better singles then they did in 66 and 67. Tell me a better 2 years

Bill Wyman always change the bass line pattern on every version of this song during this era! Love it!

Все великие мелодии Роллингов были аранжированы Брайаном. Его не стало и музыка у группы очень изменилась.

The piano gets a little buried behind the bongos, bass, and vocals when you listen to the song but when you hear it isolated you realize that it was played so well that it's immediately identifiable as a basic underpinning of the track. The bongos are playing at such a rapid tempo that the much slower tempo of the piano is a great counterpoint.

This is a great mix, even though the vocals are much more muted than on the later mixes. The rhythm guitar is right in my lap!

Most of their studio records were great. Wrecking Crew was employed on their early albums with Mcguinn handling the guitar work masterfully. Byrds harmonies and Gene's voice unmatched

Take me to the station And put me on the train I've got no expectations To pass through here again Once I was a rich man Now I am so poor But never in my sweet short life Have I felt like this before Your heart is like the diamond You throw your pearls at swine And as I watch you leavin' me You pack my peace of mind Our love was like the water That splashes on a stone Our love is like our music Why is it here, and then it's gone? So take me to the airport And put me on a plane I got no expectations To pass through here again

Keith Richards and Mick Jagger song. All Brian does in this song is to copy the melody that Keith wrote and Mick sings. Jones had no talent to speak of. He was poser and a phoney.

What a thankless, ungrateful little prick Jones was here. Criticizing Keith's brilliant HIT songs as sounding too much alike when Jones couldn't put a single original musical phrase together if his life depended on it. Keep in mind that the songs scumbag Brian is criticizing are making him wealthy and famous as he speaks. He was being a super asshole here in front of the press.. If I were Mick in this interview I would have asked Brian what songs HE wrote that sounded different, and then pointed out that they all sound exactly the same because there aren't any, but Mick is too classy to bend down to Brian's gutter snipe level.

Fascinating … very early stabs at an unusual tune … perhaps after imbibing … hear patient Jimi”s affection for Brian in his efforts to develop a comfortable rhythymic framework for what eventually turns into a masterpiece On a strange but beautiful wavelength Play on brothers

It is not Brian's piano playing that is bad and out of tune-it is the guitar playing of Jimi and Dave Mason-drumming,not so good either.
