I’m very suspicious about this whole rush to canonize this young man. It seems he was chosen for Sainthood by dint of his extremely pushy mother and by a Church desperate to be relevant. Sorry, I just can’t buy into this right now.

Ok, here is the problem…The power of the Eucharist is False and man made. Let me back up my statement with actual bible fact. Hebrews 9:26 Christ died once for all as a one-time payment for the sins of all who trust in him, including past, present, and future sins. AND Romans 6:10 Christ died to sin once for all, but he lives to God. This verse also says that people should count themselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Don’t put your faith in a piece of bread! Instead read Romans 10:9-10 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. Also check out Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so no one may boast". Jesus took all sin and put it to death on the cross. Once a person accepts Jesus as their personal savior -see Rom 10: 9-10 above - there is no need for a Eucharist.

All due respect and much love but why do Catholics think people who have passed on can pray for them? We living have no business with the dead ( Ecclesiastes 9:4-10), we don't need them to pray for us when Jesus dying for our sin as the final sacrifice has given us the ability to reach the father directly thru Jesus as we pray in Jesus name no one can get to the father except thru Jesus for he is the only way the truth and life not no saint or Mary . But I am open to hear all sides of the conversation because we learn new things everyday
