Before we started, I was told you didn’t enjoy it. It’s much harder than it looks. I also made the mistake of waiting until the end of the day, once my confidence was already broken from crashing earlier in the day. I do want to ride it again, and now that I know what all my mistakes were, maybe I could do better.

Its looks similar but it was Bogbone that we rode.

Thanks for the information; I always thought Girl Scout started near Sarlacc. I’ve made note in the time code, and I’ll change it on future videos. I rode with @singletrackbandit , and he found the Girl Scout trail and thought maybe it was like Boy Scout in Pacifica; that’s how we discovered the area.

@@slowerwithdonuts yeah I think it's all called old Colma, but this one starts at the top but drops into the devil's slide north lot. It's on some maps but not on others.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll take a look. This video was also captured before I tightened the headset which made a significant difference, but there is still rattling in my current videos on rougher terrain, but not nearly as bad as in this video.

We park at both. It really depends on what trail we want to end with. I would say we're evenly split between the two.

Yes, it's using HyperView, which is the new extra-wide setting on the GoPro 12. It was first introduced on the GoPro 11. At first, I didn't like the distortion that happens in tight corners or trees that are close, but it has grown on me, and I'm going to use it for all my videos going forward.

This really depends on how you like to ride. Even a good basic mountain bike would work. To get to most of the trails, you’ll need to climb some steep hills, so you’ll want a bike that’s also good at climbing.

Scary; maybe you should avoid the area. It's better on the ocean side, but the poison oak is still around and the trails are small.

Not to tarnish his reputation, but yes, we both ate it. I think next time we will do better now that we have a good line to follow.

@@slowerwithdonuts looks like they trimmed it back on the Montara side which was nice. Wore long sleeves and socks and brought a change of clothes. Turned out fine!

You’re so right, this place was part of the decision for getting an E bike. The fire road climb up is brutal.
