thank you so much for the support. we made a tradition to go to the beach every Mother's Day, my mom no longer in my life, and her ash are spread in the same ocean we were at . make me feel close to her .

This is called in the field a "soft expel"..where a school calls parents to pick up a child for the day..and then if they get away with it day after day..SOFT EXPELS are feerally illegal based on Federal disability law..If she does not have an IEP or 504 get one immediately..Don't know what state you are in..If Utah..We have The Parents Center that can give you legal advice on how to handle this..But first step is letting yhe school know you will not allow any more "soft expels" and that it is federally illegal

My grandson is 7 and autistic. His sensory needs are so high he currently goes off campus to a local church for school. He gets 3 hours and 45 minutes of school a week. His school, although finally trying, did not know how to deal with his behaviors (he bites, kicks, scratches, ...). They are now onboard with his sensory needs but intergrating him back into the school building will take time. They've got a decent sensory room now but what they still need to do, and your school from the sounds of it, is make a reset room. That's a quiet non-stimulating room kids can use when they're emotions get to big for them. It cuts down on their 'need' to send a kid home. It also affords the kid privacy as they calm down. I'd also request an FBA so a BIP can be built and put into place so they'll have a plan to follow other than just sending her home. An FBA helps define the function and of the behavior (why it happened). A BIP is a behavior intervention plan that goes in her IEP and the school will have to follow when behaviors occur. Parents are equal members of the IEP team. Know her and your rights, federal and state so you can see when they are trying to bamboozle you. Ask as many questions as you need. You're part of the team. Your state may have advocates who can help with IEP meetings also.

@@beckytucker1991 Don't give up and don't get emotional about it slowing down at some point. I've lost I think 60 lbs (27 kilos) since last year via caloric deficit and just walking daily myself. First dozen of kilos went fast, then it was barely 4 a month, but I still went from BMI around 39, getting swollen legs and feeling the morbid part quite a lot in my late twenties to 29.5 and no longer obese, sweaty and easily out of breath. Back to the gym getting muscle, too. This skin on my arms needs firmer stuffing material 😆
