Lol. Ignore everything about the slimes attacks. They all matter. This fight has a ton of chip damage. Avoid all of his attacks otherwise you'll likely die to chip damage. This guy probably only bosses after he's super over geared so he can just ignore mechanics like he suggests lol

I played on and off after big bang. Maps were all empty so I thought game was dead. Playing the game at high level was truly lonely. On the off chance you encountered another person, one of you would quickly change channels because it wasn't efficient to train together. A mmorpg that discourages cooperation. The boss raids was controlled like organized crime. That's one thing I appreciate about newer games. There's no ****head who says who can and cannot join and when the raid will happen.

Avoidability is king. I had 116% avoid in Chapter 5, you just don't take damage the run is free.

Very good video I am a cm player and some of the things said I agree with 100% But the only thing that was wrong is that cm is a 2min class He is a90sec or 3min it was changed to be like this a year ago I think and that was one of the biggest buffs to cm

Thankyou for making this video and bringing light to the lack of quality-of-life that CM has. The damage is fine but we need some ability to cancel attack animation in order to dodge OR some real defensive abilities! CM was made to be the slow and clunky pirate BUT at least they should give us a shield, some ability to dodge things better, or some better defensive ability... People say CM movement is so OP...until you die because you're stuck in one place while doing slow attacks. Also, fix the enemy debuffing attack to ACTUALLY hit what is in front of you and not completely miss.

Correction: 5:24 CM do not have a 30-sec i-frame, they have a skill with a ~3sec i-frame with 30sec cd Also, fun fact: Using Anchor doesn't put your character in the attack-state, and you can CC immediately for efficient 24h boss farming

I also think MapleStory has been fun to revisit after a 10 year hiatus. I first started on Bera when it was a brand new server. I think what would be a good change is for players to have a slight exp boost when in a map with another player even if they aren’t partied with them. In gold beach and the other low level theme dungeons, players can be in the same map fighting separate mobs. What if this was applied to all maps? Right now most players immediately cc when they see someone else. That’s something I think could change

mage is def hard but in general at least for me clearing chapter 5 hardcore i needed early dmg and rank 2 main attack preferably in first room or first stage it increases the rang of the hit of the charge and gives you a pulse after that you will want to find your rank 3 attack asap since it gives you what you need to stay safe while attacking. once you have rank 3 main skill and enough attack you dont feel to be fighting against the timer everything needs to go to defensive stats because you will not be able to avoid much. my wins are around 5-8k attack and a mix of defense/avoid/health. the mage has an easy time clearing maps with rank 3 main skill but bosses are a avoid killer attacks and spam as many charge attacks as possible. the only skills worth mentioning as far as i found are sweeping staff and holy magic shell but once you have rank 3 main skill stats and items are the prio you could try to glass cannon the mage but the boss will likely kill you long before you can kill it. well at least this is my strat

Thief has gotten me far. Dont upgrade the first skill. Go into every stat room possible and choose avoidability every chance, and attack otherwise. As for skills, flashbang, smoke screen, cruel stab, and the cadena chain skill. Any combination of these will work well. Buy any avoidability and attack speed from the random coin altars. Cap your avoidability by relics. Run as much attack % as possible

Hardcore disables eternal points passive pepega

I've only played mage and did hardcore mode for chapters 1 and 2. It's difficult for sure but I've found that choosing att & HP for passive stat then avoidability & defense for relics is the way to go. As far as skills, snow spirit, bolt barrage, and level 3 magic orb clears maps and takes care of bosses easily.
