I appreciate you visiting my channel. I am up to about 200 star notes and no idea what to do with them. I have 94, mint, consecutive numbered note right from the Fed. I have 2 of the 2013 New York Reserve notes that were doubled and a couple from runs of 640 thousand or less. The rest are just common. I am also finding notes with holes warn through them. I search for fun, so it all will shake out in the wash.

Hey there GD I’m glad you raised the question of what we think about economy. The perception by many is our economy is doing poorly and often people say we are in a recession. Going back to my university days “A recession is a period of slow growth where a country's economy begins to shrink. It is defined as at least two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth.” We are not in a period of a shrinking GDP. Looking at the stock market as well here. Yes the market specifically the S&P 500 is going up and down, but in a 12 month period the S&P 500 is at record highs. 12 months ago the S&P 500 was at 4,518 and today it is 5,291 + or -. Why is there older cash in circulation? I’d say because the majority of people use “plastic” rather than cash.

This is the second time this guy has taken a shot at me for bringing up what I use to hear back in the 70's and 80's. The last time he removed his extremely nasty comment before I thought to copy it but not this time. Say anything against his beliefs and he will take shots at you on his channel so be aware of the type of person he is. The American economy had recovered better than ANY other country on the planet. 300 raggy bills has NOTHING to do with the economy. The BEP wasn’t printing money during the pandemic. So notes stayed in circulation longer. Now new notes are hitting the banks. The government doesn’t “leave” money in circulation longer to increase the amount of money in circulation to cause inflation. Leaving money circulating doesn’t increase how much money individuals have or can spend. The greatest recent example of the government flooding the country with money happened in the summer of 2020. After the majority of the country was told to stay home, many companies just let them go. I was one of those millions of people. The president then authorized unemployment to continue to pay people after the normal benefits expired. With an unemployment rate of 15%, no one was “earning “, they were literally sitting at home and living off of the free government flood of money. I’m not saying it was right or wrong. I’m saying I think we found our source of record inflation for the next few years. You can check who was President back then. Also, check the name of the guy who ended the money for nothing program that got people back to work. I checked my 401k the other day and it’s almost back to pre pandemic levels. I know this doesn’t fit your political narrative but sometimes the facts get in the way.
