has anyone tried pluggin the 8bit do wireless freedom arcade stick (with 8bitdo adapter) to OG xbox with this method?
@mattb65224 күн бұрын
Good review! The 8BitDo is definitely a solid option. As much as I love the NSO one, it is a bit pricey and you'd have to drop a bit of cash if you want 4 player (unless everyone buys their own controller). Where does the Brawler64 controller fit into all of this, though? 🤔

Just did this mod and the region mod. I had a Mega Drive 2 VA0 PAL and before there was bad audio. Now its fine after the 3bp mod. VA0 PAL is the worst mega drive for audio I have heard. Video was okay. Getting 60Hz is so much smoother game play wise.

I like the top loader better, but in previous videos I saw that the original front loader has better colors and the top loader has jailbars on the screen, however, this mod seems to fix all of that. very nice. Considering doing one someday. I think one thing that would make this mod better is if they used a better connector instead of the mini din connector.

Newer kits are available with the Multiout connector instead!

I was testing my resistances and noticed that I get different resistance depending on which probe is where. At first, doing it the way you are, I was getting about half on all of my 3.3v lines, but when I swapped them, they started showing the correct numbers. I'm not sure if that will matter in the end though.

Ever since I watched ShankMods Wii portables videos like 5 years ago I wanted to build a portable Wii myself, but due to cost and lack of knowledge, I never got around to it. About 6 months ago, I said to myself: "I'm going to finally do this", and with zero soldering knowledge, I began this journey. The Ashida came up as the best option for beginners, so I went with that. Your videos on the Ashida were an extremely valuable resource for this project, and after 6 months of planning, work and one first failed attempt, I have a fully built working Ashida. I've been using it for about 3 days now and it works perfectly. I wanted to give my thanks for these extremely detailed series of videos, don't think I would have ever been able to do it without them.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! it’s a pretty big accomplishment going from no experience to the Ashida, good job!

Great job! By the way, launching a Nintendo DS game on a 3DS by default stretches the image. However, if you hold Start or Select while booting up a DS game, it'll launch it at the native resolution, unstretched. This is what the Display Type > DS (1:1) option crops for in the capture software. Combine that with Scaling > Point option for a really sharp Nintendo DS capture! Additionally, if you click the corner of the viewer window, either combined or split screens, to drag and resize it, it'll automatically "snap" to integer scale resolutions (2x, 3x, 4x, etc.) Have fun!

I think this is a great idea. JLCPCB do professional Resin printing and i think it would be worthwhile to check pricing. Constant removing of the backpanel is a pain and will always wear the contacts down so this would prevent that possibility. I have a Halot sky resin printer and the "AIO for GameStar.stl" combined file is slightly too large for my bed so if you could split the items from that file it would be appreciated. Thanks

There’s an updated SP to SD adapter that puts the SD card 90° towards the outside of the case and there’s a 3-D print file. You can do the download a brackets that seals up the hole so the only thing sticking out is the top of the SD card that way you don’t have to worry about removing the player

I use an Ezcap333 capture card that has a P2 output for headphone and P2 input for a microphone in addition to having HDMI pass through so there is no delay on the monitor. As I only have one monitor, I use an HDMI switch to switch between HDMI pass through and the HDMI that comes out of the computer with OBS.

UPDATE: I figured out the issue with XT CF not working (I plan to cover flashing XT IDE in detail in the future). The Micro 8088 has a set of DIP switches (Switch 3) for assigning memory ranges to UMB's. I had the switch set to assign the memory address that I wanted to use for my XT CF card (D0000) assigned to UMB. So I just turned off the DIP switch that controls that range on the CPU card, reran XTIDECFG, and it started working

A Gamecube with the gameboy player attached on it is what we could call today Xbox series X's ancestor! GameCube was ahead of its time, its a pity it finished last during its era! When I think PS2 with its awful graphics has sold 135 millions more than GameCube pisses me off!

UPDATE: I measured my older Everdrive's PCB, it measures about 1.26 mm which is larger than the standard 1.2 mm. If you have a newer Everdrive N8, your cart's PCB is likely thinner, and more likely to work better with the Ninten-Drawer!
@RobertCatiller67Ай бұрын
The time you're putting into the Nintendrawer & Slotmaster videos is appreciated. I have 3 DIY Slotmaster kits from Laser Bear, but I'm waiting before assembling so I can build once with new rev pcb's (& flex cable?).
@StragglyAphidАй бұрын
So what do you prefer soltmaster or Ninten-drawer?

I can't really give a good opinion because my older Everdrive doesn't work well with Ninten-Drawer. Original carts work well with either, but that's not what I typically use.
