Great video! We installed a server rack 48v battery system and two 6500w inverters from signature solar, charged by 24 250w panels ($20 each from santan solar). Our mini split ac system is directly powered only by 6 additional panels which keeps us abundantly cool. We installed the system over a year ago and have never had to turn it off and have had zero outtages from day one. We are planning on using this same system to power our geodesic dome home on the Bisbone ranch.

On the auto insurance, you need a liability policy when you leave the USA. By the time you encounter the Guardia Nacional, you are in Mexico and your USA insurance no longer provides any liability coverage (it may cover your car still for damage to it, or not, depending on the policy). If you are in a collision, even if you weren't at fault, the municipal police can detain you and seize your vehicle if they want to. Always have Mexican liability insurance. You can buy it by the day before crossing.

that was a deal, how did you find out they had it available to buy before you crossed over ? Family and I have talked about doing the boarder crossing for things as we go. and that is good info about the trailer on documents. Oh how long did you spend in the customs line too ?
