Am2r is more faithful to the original compared to Samus Returns. Basically AM2R is nowhere near identical and that goes for basically everything else about the game.

Zipping is a glitch that allows you to teleport across a room under certain conditions. You can look up Golden Temple zips or underwater zips if you're curious.

You might be running on version 1.1 or 1.5. The latest version is 1.5.5 with its own Launcher which you can get on the AM2R subreddit. For further help there's always the Official AM2R Disocrd.

Here's how it works Multitroid Servers aren’t like Minecraft servers in that they're always running and you can connect to them from anywhere. Instead one person has the server running on their computer (it's a .exe which you can download on the same GitHub page that you downloaded Multitroid), which enables people in their local network to join (The person that runs the server is called the host, and they get to decide what mode gets played and other stuff like that). We then use a VPN service like a Radmin to connect to the same network as the Host, allowing us to also connect to the server and therefore play together. When someone hosts a server, they will write all the info, like the Radmin Network, it’s Password, the IP you need to connect to the server and the port number into the multitroid matchmaking channel on the Official Discord. Yes, you can. The SA-X game mode was added after. You can see a few videos online of people just playing good old CO-OP.

Wdym how to get skins? Like the custom suits? It's in the mod itself. I wish I knew the details but it requires you messing with Termux scripts. I recommend you join the AM2R Discord server for help. There are more people there that can give you a more detailed explanation.

Yea... It can be tedious most times but learning how to make a room with everything working is actually pretty simple.

The mod will come in 2 versions one is a Kaizo for experienced players and another casual. The only thing that changes is the level design difficulty. However, it's important to note that this mod does aim to challenge players on platforming/combat in AM2R. That means that even as a casual you'd be put through interesting and fun rooms.

Community Updates team AND Modding Server heavily discourages the creation of maps regarding other 2D Metroid titles into AM2R, such as Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, etc. Hence why no one has done a AM3R or AM4R with new assets. The Community Updates team has stated that for the "green flag" (not so green to be honest) it would be when AM2R 2.0 drops, since they don't want to attract too much attention towards them until that is finished.
