I dont think its a warmouth with the black blotches on the back fins. Sunfish have tons of color variations even in the same species. Its smaller mouth and the black spots make me thinks its a green sunfish but im not expert

Jumping large sturgeon can not only flatten/ collide incoming boaters or paddlers from their mass, they also have sharp bony scutes on the side. Definitely not as menacing, and they don't mean harm, but when man invades into their waters, much can happen. Doesn't surprise me hybrids of 2 predator fish when unnaturally combined would make a demon spawn fish lol

Room temp (house set at 67 I think the water is 70ish). I think adding leaf litter along with a couple high protein feedings really brought them into spawning.

If your temperature in the house is 70° that is why you’re sunfish are spawning. Smallmouth bass spawn between 63 and 65° largemouth bass spawn between 66 and 69 and sunfish spawn at 70. Same with Bluegills. If you continue to keep your house at 70° they will continue to keep going through a spawning pattern.
