Yo dbest1a, I'm a brand new (to me) vstar 1300 deluxe rider. I really appreciate your maintenance videos and have saved many for working on my new V-Star. I have been looking for a replacement for my stock shield and the CeeBailey looks promising. Unfortunately they don't seem to make those anymore. 😢 I noticed that you had replaced your stock batwing and wondered if you would consider selling the Cee Bailey shield? I am interested if you decide to sell. Let me know. And it's all good either way. Stay safe out there my friend 😊
@dbest1aVlogs8 күн бұрын
Congrats on getting your 1300. Hehe the cee Bailey was a nice shield . I did sell it a while ago.I don't think there are too many other shields out for the deluxe fairing but I could be wrong .
@averycausey39958 күн бұрын
@@dbest1aVlogs Thanks for the answer my friend. I got a stock size shield on order that I am going to cut down to fit my height. I liked the idea of that vent on the Cee Bailey maybe I can find one on fleabay. Also want to try out the Royal Star Tour Deluxe handlebars. The stock bars are a pain between the shoulder blades. You definitely got a great channel for V-Star 1300 deluxe riders. Keep up the good work 👍
@dbest1aVlogs8 күн бұрын
@averycausey3995 yeah that could work . There are lots of youtube vids on cutting down plexiglass. I did it to the ceebaily . A jigsaw and plastic cutting blades and lots of masking tape. I cut off approx an inch which helped me to see over. Thanks for the kind words on the site. I filmed a lot of vids based off of reading the owners manual. It was very time consuming but I knew they would help others that might need some guided info.
@averycausey39958 күн бұрын
@@dbest1aVlogs Already practiced cutting the stock shield down like you said with a jigsaw. Chopped 5 inches off which may have been too much but no loss because it was too tall for me to see over and too yellowed to see through. Definitely got the bobblehead that you mentioned. I also got the Memphis Shades lowers but haven't put em on yet. I live in southern New Mexico and it has been a smokin" hot summer. Gotta get out early in the morning because it has been over a 100 degrees by 11am most days with highs of 105-110 or more. Actually gonna try the bike with no shield for more airflow and hopefully less buffeting

Extremely well done video. Checks all the boxes. Exact part number, gap, torque, blowing out debris before removing plug, change interval as well as time (per manual) and even where to get the manual. Camera also mounted to avoid shaking and had good sound and lighting. Very professional.

I had a couple charbroil grills, I got about 5 years out of them. I've had my weber Genesis II for 9 years now and all I had to do was replace the porcelain coated steel flavorizer bars that finally rusted out. I got stainless steel replacement ones. Cost me $55 and I'm back in business for another decade or so

I have the exact same bike and year. Where did you get your windshield with the vent? I have the cobra air intake and slip-on muffler. Also had the Ivan's ECU flash done. When I shift down it sounds like a Jake brake. Not idling really great either. I also disconnected the O2 sensor but not sure if that made a difference? You said you also have the fuel controller as well as the ECU flash? What fuel tuner did you install? I think my bike is running a bit too lean. Any ideas on how to fix this?
@dbest1aVlogsАй бұрын
The tuner is a cobra fi2000 with the manual knobs. At the time, He flashed the bike n told me the bike might be a tad lean at wot . (IF I remember right) which is why they also offered the pc5 that he would put the tune on. I ended up figuring out that I could tune it , it took a while but I had it running decent up top and mid range and not too lean or too rich . It was a lot of smelling and seat of the pants tune with the cobra. I have to use middle grade gas in temps over 70 and I drop new plugs in every season. I did take off the cobra slip on cause I couldn't take the noise anymore. Lol. Now I'm running stock with drilled baffle. I like quiet better. Less responsive though. Shield was a cee Bailey with vent. They don't make em anymore. See other videos I got a reckless now with freedom shield. I ordered a new freedom shield that's coming tomorrow.

The seat is from EDseatusa add a dot com to that . Other seats others like is the ultimate . Ed maker used to work for them. The audio info u can see in my Playlist section , I think under maintenance videos. Reckless fairing install. There I talk about the radio n speakers. I've since changed radio though to a jvc as the Kenwood had water damage.
