CRAP I have to this with it slightly jacked up, the back guide is going to be a real pain to get to. Frack.

Swapped 26 HP engine into troybilt mower and left lights unplugged. One day it would not start and I checked the solenoid and blew five fuses. Turns out, the light wires got pinched in the hood hinge and made a short everytime the hood closed. Thanks for this video

My almost 88-year-old dad and I just installed this belt. I did not know what I was getting myself into but I didn’t want him to trip or fall or injure himself so I thought I would assist him.I am his first born daughter I learned a lot thank you so much for your video. I could not have done this without this video and I didn’t want him to have to do it alone! Again love your video!!!!

I've had my deck off twice for sharpening. Pay close attention when reinstalling belt on the engine pulley. I had it turned the right direction but it flipped before I completed installation. Didn't notice until I actuated the PTO. Immediately stalled the engine. Watch closely and double check. It got me twice. We'll duh.

i’m going to try to install this belt by not removing anything. I’m just gonna slightly bend things around but the only thing I think I have to takeoff is those covers on the deck the little 8 mm other than that I think I can do this but just finagle things out-of-the-way.

Ever see a v-twin Brigs that the pistons don’t move, but the valves do??? 😢😢😢
@JohnsonsSmallEngines15 сағат бұрын
Yep, it has blown up. Broken connecting rods. The cam that at moves the valves works off of a gear that works with the gear on the crankshaft. The valves will still move when pistons do not.
@cueballsi11 сағат бұрын
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines wow, both connecting rods would snap? What would make it do that? Would it be repairable? Man, I bet this thing would have made a crazy bang when it went …

FYI - The S140 (48" deck, manufacture date 4/2/24) comes with front wheel bearings. Or at least mine did.
@JohnsonsSmallEngines13 сағат бұрын
Thank you for the update. It sounds like John Deere finally started to put the bearing back in the front wheels and they are now on the 2024 "S" 100 series. If you will be washing your machine, (I do not recommend, unless necessary )I would recommend pulling the front wheels and filling the hub with grease to keep the water out.

Excellent video. Two suggestions: It is quite easy to access the cotter pin that retains the cable from the left side of the mower. In fact, I pulled that pin first. Also, I used a large, flat-blade screwdriver to open tyhe pins up to make them easy to pull. Insert the blade between the support rod and the pin, give it a quarter turn, and it walks right out.

I've got a Craftsman T206 Riding Lawn mower. All the gas disappeared; found it in the oil. Naturally, I got blamed, so we filled the gas back up and the same thing happened, so it obviously wasn't me. We've traveled far enough down the road to understand that it must be the carburetur, but now comes the task of replacing it. (We're not experts enough to try to fix the carburetor itself.) Can you offer any guidance?
@JohnsonsSmallEngines2 күн бұрын
The easiest way to correct this issue is, drain all gas from the engine, put fresh oil in and replace (purchase a new) the carburetor with the OEM "original equipment manufacturer" carburetor.
