Ive been thinking about teachin myself left handed too. Theres a few good reasons. Mainly i wanna try using right brain for more imagination while playing music. But also, to get my hands conditioned to do more overall. And its not like i gotta learn guitar again, just how to flip it all and jse my mind another way

Hi Jon many thanks for your excellent tutorial of Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain. The only problem I have is to write the outro. Please would you write me the notation just for the outro. That will greatly help me. What I have for the 2 measures of the intro is: E for half measure, A for half measure an then finish the second measure with the E chord last 4 beat (whole note) Is that ok. Your help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, Musically Germain

God bless you Jon for demonstrating left handed. I am 75 years old, just getting started, and very left handed. I’ve given up on two right handed instructors so far as right handers they have no concept of “fretting hand and picking hand” in their narrative. Real professionals should be able to instruct both handed and not expect we left handers to all of a sudden be right handed. Please do more left handed for us. PS we are not “lefty’s” as we don’t refer to right handers as “righty’s”

Thanks for all the kind words my man! I really appreciate it. Means a lot to be able to help others. Sometimes I question if I’m any good at it. Thank you for the encouragement! I do love all kinds of music. 90s rock/metal was what I grew up on so that’s my go-to. Love COC. Haven’t heard that song but I’ll check it out. Teaching for the past 10 years has opened me up to a lot of cool stuff. Living in Texas, you’ll go out of business if you don’t teach some country, so I’ve been into a lot of that gold old stuff like Willie for the past few years.

@@jonchorba8835 yes there is. Time of the preacher another of Willie's. I know it's probably not requested often but just like blue eyes it had a simplicity that draws me in. Like you I've never had lessons after watching your pod cast I see why your video worked for me. You take time to explain every step and it works for me. I know everyone says"I like all music" but I really do. A song can take you a million miles away. I truly love music and hopefully with your help I can play some of the old songs I grew up listening to. Silver wings, Merle Haggard. The running kind, Noel Haggard.Thanks Jon. Hey Jon I am a drummer that decided to learn the guitar to help my kids learn. I am playing left handed Bc I am left handed. I play drums right handed. But I just wanted to say that this video has helped me more then any I’ve watched. I want to thank you. My skills are improving daily. Hey Kevin! Thanks for the reply. I made the foolish decision to try and do this right after having our first kid. Just didn’t have the time/desire to do more. But it’s something I am planning on doing again and document everything. Stay tuned!
