Missed a few major players. Lego has a big factory down in Chester that’s creating hundreds of jobs. Amazon is also down there. Costar is a HUGE player in downtown Richmond and will be even bigger once their campus finishes construction. Altria also has a campus on the West End, and did we forget CarMax? It’s down the street of CapitalOne. These are all amazing employers that can be helpful to anyone moving to the area.

I hear from few Realtors that you guys can't look for a homes for people based on Good schools and safety,which is only thing i need to know as i am looking to move to Winchester,Richmond or Staunton,to raise my 8 y old kiddo.I guess we have to do our own job and investigate or read comments from people who lived there to know which areas are not safe and which schools are good...

Richmond is not a great city. I’m from VA. Haven’t lived there in a while. Roanoke and Fairfax County are much nicer places to move to

Richmond for retirement? We live in Georgia right now and moved here from Idaho. We are not going back to Idaho and we aren’t super thrilled with GA. Our daughters live in the DC area. We aren’t stuck to living in the city but we do want the amenities we enjoy. Things like great coffee shops, golf courses, awesome yoga studios, whole foods or health food co-ops, OLLI classes at local colleges, hiking trails, and lots of opportunities to make friends at our age. Retirement is only a short 7 years away so I’m beginning to narrow down our choices. What areas around Richmond or the surrounding communities would you recommend and is this a good place to retire in VA?

You forgot about the pipeline and Texas beach they have a walking trail from bell island to Texas beach to it a cool trail to goes behind Hollywood cemetery and Maymont Park the trail called north bank trail

This includes many homes in the Tuckahoe section of Henrico Co. An older home is often time not more affordable than a newer home, especially when located in a highly desirable spot such as the Tuckahoe section of Henrico Co. For those desiring to be on the West End, they can expect to find that the majority of homes were built between the 1950’s and 1990’s.

Rountrey really shines during the fall season from the Jack O Lantern light posts to the haunted trail and fall festival, very family friendly! Christmas is amazing, too.

This area also has access to 7 different grocery stores along a 5 mile strip on Hull Street. The many grocery store options are one of my favorite parts of Swift Creek.

Elementary school is spring run not Grange hall. No fitness center. The lake and a lot of footage is Birkdale. El Paso we do have but those photos are not from our El Paso either outside or inside. Collington has over 900 houses not 400.

I am wondering why would you be videoing and driving while breaking the law by running multiple stop signs in our neighborhood? I would prefer if you would follow the law that helps to keep our neighborhood streets safe for walkers, children and pets. "Octagon (Stop): This eight-sided shape always means stop. You must come to a COMPLETE stop at the sign, stop line, pedestrian crosswalk or curb."

Lot's of things wrong in this video. We are 970 homes, east is 207 and are a separate community. Not sure where you got your numbers. The El Paso exterior and interior shots are from El Paso in Centreville, VA and were pulled from a google search along with the interiors, if it was your favorite restaurant you would know this. The Arial shots from the drone are mostly of Summerford. For video made in 2022, using old photo of Uptown Alley from when it opened in 2012.

Also, there is no fitness center, but we do have basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. The pool is not Olympic sized, but we do have a splash park.

I just assumed she forgot Tealby when I saw that and was just counting the main section. Common for people to not realize Tealby is part of Collington. Lots of info out of date here, apparently.🫠

So MANY inaccuracies! Definitely NO fitness center, no ponds, etc! There are so many more, but looks like I’m not the first to note that. We have a couple of trails, but not a ton.

The surf park on Hull St will be completed in a year or two also. Hope they have a plan to alleviate some traffic along that corridor.
