If you say this is the worst you just don't know the game very well. It's by far the most important and it's not close. Speed Monado is just going to get you a corner carry that does 20%. Shield = our only reason we dont get combod like DK/Bowser Speed = Free neutral win/cross up/set up Buster = Giant Damage but Giant Risk (taking more damage yourself with our terrible disadv) Smash = Most niche. Helps Vision, Back slash, Up tilt, ftilt and aerials be a threat though

As a Kirby main I'm trying to master every character's neutral b shenanigans to become the avatar of Smash BS. Monado, blocks, Joker gun, and bonus fruit are the wildest ones so far and I appreciate how 90% of this translates.

Pummeling increases throw knockback, which grants you a few more follow-up combos, compared to just throwing your opponent.

Here are some interesting information sabout the Little Mac - Shulk MU : Neutral B is insanely good in this MU, armor on hit forces Shulk to commit to a grab if he wants to hit you with any move affected by Smash or Speed art You NEED to learn how to Lunge Cancel, in general it's great but in this MU it is mandatory (it basically allows you to cancel your neutral B charge with an up Smash, by smashing a grab + up imput, I recommend mapping a grab button to Y for easier execution) Don't commit if you have KO Punch and Shulk is in Shield Art, it's not worth the risk of losing your ressource And also, don't commit on dtilt KO Punch UNLESS shield art is gone, else you'll be in your lag and will get punished hard Btw, don't recover low, or if you're forced to use your counter if he's comming for a forward air, Shulk can't really bait it safely in this position. whenever i pummel i can only do it like 2-3 times before they escape. and when they grab its like they do it 17 times and i can never escape despite the fact ive basically reduced all the buttons to atoms mashing so hard

Yeah true true but have you considered that it messes with the rhythm of combos?

What does smash art even do?

For me, pummeling your opponent at the edge of the stage is the best. They’ll try to mash out of your grab and there’s a 50-50 that they’ll buffer airdodge and SD at low percent. At the same, it racks up their percent.

As a Richter main, I'm not even within bukkake distance of grab range

i used to primarily play against cpus a lot and they mash so fucking much so i kinda learnt to never pummel because they always mash out of a grab but you right

I honestly I always pummel regardless cuz free damage I sometimes mix it up with an instant throw to maybe catch my opponent off guard but for the most part I always pummel cuz damage and further launching opponents cuz of higher %, but I never considered the stale moves part, that's quite useful, those with very fast pummels like Bayonetta must be so happy

The only thing is that especially with characters like joker who rely on di mixups with their throws it can be harder to react and properly di them if you throw immediately but it's much easier to di when you pummel

What I took away from this video: You pick all the best Sonic songs (especially Frog Forest)

Sadly with hero, Psyche Up unlike his jab, does not last for the entire move so you are better off throwing the opponent.

I’ve been hit by a 0 to death by a shulk who used 5 moves (I think). I believe it was a down throw to forward tilt on buster, followed by 2 neutral airs on speed and a forward smash at ledge with smash.

How I do my pummeling: ~0% - 1 ~20% - 2 ~50% - 3 ~70% - 4 ~100% - 5 ~130%+ - 5, just kill them already.

Not to mention while speed is active,you CAN NOT drift back while performing an ariel after a run. You must run,STOP FIRST,theeeen do an ariel,then drift back. Speed is trash.

Hi, I am new here. I really want to see a video about buster art because I do not think is that great, but I want to learn more, and your video about speed art was amazing.

One thing that would've been helpful to mention was Smash Art's extra utility as a combo escape option at lower percents if shield art isn't available since the extra knickknack will launch him father to end a combo prematurely (unless it's just two hits lol)
