Here's something you might try to determine more about your style. Mine was done using decorating magazines but it can be done with Pinterest as well, I'm sure. I took a beginner design class years ago. Our assignment was to look through the magazine pictures and tear out the pictures that you "instinctively" were drawn to. Put all of them in a pile and just keep looking. Once you have a generous pile start looking for trends/patterns. For instance, for me, I was drawn to greens, texture, drapes, vintage artwork and furniture. This helped me to determine my style.

I'm a house painter (me and husband 10 years) those cabinets from what I can tell look like solid wood with a nice grain. What we do is sand off the finish and stain (not gonna lie painting cabinets is hard work but if you did it yourselves it could save a tonnn of money) then a nice cabinet paint from Behr. They sell corded paint sprayers with a canister for pretty good prices all over. Look into it eventually! it would turn your whole kitchen fabulous overnight, basically and they are sooo much easier to clean. Edit: Oops didn't see the part where you wanted a new layout!

This is how cleaning and decorating channels looked like only a few short years ago. But now everyone (in their years of experience) have homes that look so unattainable or like they’re from magazines, that now we have to call a normal house “non-aesthetic” to properly market the video?! 😅 I’m dismayed but happy that there’s normal people still out there making content that I can relate to! I’ve quit so many channels because they change so drastically after a few years in the game. Thanks for sharing and putting your hat in the ring for us regular people!
