I don't know why but each time I create a new software inst. track it automatically boots reaktor 6 as a plugin. any way to disable that? I'm mainly using kontakt for drums.

@@sewoe this is why I opt to create an “empty channel strip” when in the create new instrument track menu so that I doesn’t load any plugins. Once you have things the way you like, you can set the default channel strip by right clicking the track and selecting “save channel strip settings as…”

If you’re using the drummer track to write your midi, from environment you should be able to plug in the cable to the other kits’ and as long as the internal mapping matches. I have an advanced video where I plug multiple kits to the one drummer midi that might help you in figuring out your kits setup: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i6xpaNGk2NmchXk.htmlsi=A4TlU3vA4AZJE_zv

@EnseyJonny

When you press the button I call the focus mode button, it collapses all the notes that are unused. If I haven’t written my best yet, I don’t want the mapped notes I made to disappear, but I don’t want to see all the extra notes that aren’t mapped. So I added muted notes so that I can press the focus mode button and only see my mapped notes

Alright seriously, why is this the only video I seem to be able to find on this topic like, AT ALL haha. There's of course other videos about using the MIDI environment in Logic, which I've found now that I've seen this, but out of all the different MIDI instruments I've used over the years in all the different applications they've been used for, I've never seen this haha. And I took two years of recording arts classes while back in school (we didn't use logic though, I don’t even know if logic was available when I was in school) this is all awesome advice dude. I've been compiling a list of "videos that don't exist but need to" for a long time now trying to put together a solid list of topics to hit in the future. So good job man, for bringing this technique to light for all the people who are more into "real" instruments than MIDI, and therefore have probably never run across this little trick. I'd imagine in the EDM scene it's probably common, but out of the countless hours of metal production videos I've seen, this is definitely a first 👏👏👏well done. (Now just drop the green screen tactic for these videos haha no offense here, it's your choice, but I PERSONALLY think green screen stuff is pretty tacky/unprofessional, mainly because it's about impossible to make it look good, even for national news outlets and huge artists, and they're probably throwing $thousands at it. And you my friend, deserve more recognition, even if just for this video alone!)

How do I do this with the architects kit? When you “assign individually” after you set up the outputs in kontakt, the architects library doesn’t give me those individual faders all conveniently like that
@EnseyJonny
@EnseyJonny Жыл бұрын
I think you might be missing the multi-output advanced setting either in logic or within GGD, but the One Kit wonder kits do not have as many options. Also it could be that you need to set up the multi output routing in GGD to work with the kontact aux channels-those should be routed to the multi out trAck in logic
