Thank you so much! I repainted her face, but not the hair. But I gave her new eyes, made the pink hair bow a bit brighter, and changed the green fins to teal.

You've got a great voice! Calming, friendly, and sweet <3 This custom came out so cute omg!! Thanks for a thorough tutorial :D it's super easy to follow. What an amazingly steady hand! Those fine details came out super well :O This was a super great tutorial! I've been wanting to restring my Antu leaf mermaid and give her my Chuchu dancer mermaid head, but I have no idea how to modify this. I've never restrung a BDJ before either, and Im not sure where to start on finding the right materials for this project. If you have any suggestions on how to do this, I'd love any tips! The long pigtails of the Dancer doll also keep falling off bc of the weight. Any advice? Thanks for sharing your work with us <3 She looks amazing!

Thank you!!! I've been painting various projects for many years, so I already collected all the colors and finishes that I need 😅. But now my style is mostly focused on bright colors, so I haven't touched my earth tones in a long time. The colors I use the most are: purples, pinks, and teal. I use white, yellow, orange, and Paynes Gray to tint and get the exact shade that I want. I actually never use the color black!

I've never really been into earth tones. But I do have the brown Antu centaur that I need to customize , so I will need to bring them out at some point 😅. For now I love my purples and bright colors

Very good question 😅. This pink mermaid face took about 4 hours from start to finish. I spray clear matte sealant in-between some steps so there is a bit of wait time while it is drying.
