Hello Mike! I just had a qso with you today 10/17/23 on 10m phone. Bill KF0MSD ...a very new ham ....Wow wow wow fantastic saxophone playing !! My Dad was a fantastic saxophone player like yourself. I have fond memories of watching him play in big bands when I was a youngster. He's gone now but not forgotten. Your qrz page is very detailed and fascinating. 73

Grace Kelly was playing at Flushing Town Hall and I decided not to go. Stupid me. I didn't know who she was and only found out later. I finally heard her with Phil Woods and she sounded great. I've bee listening ever since.

Really nice, pity I wasn't there. Grace is so expressive and able to whip it out when she wants to ! The trumpeter is good too ! and interesting compositions ... horray for Jazz.. at Newport!

Great set! Was just watching Phil with Michel Legrande in 2001 at Montreal. He just kept getting better if that is possible.

Phil was around eighty years old at this time, and had serious lung disease for years. He could barely breath. But he still could play like Gods
