No problem. The climb itself is 10.1km long. You start along the MA 10 and you climb up to the descent. and then go back on yourself to climb Sa Calobra itself and finish at the sign as you see in the video. Its about a 60km ride from Palma and 50km from the other side of the island by Port de Pollença. I suggest you go out early doors as tour buses are allowed from 10:30am and they spoil the experience. Its better to have descended by before 10am. Advice as your a first time rider of it, dont underestimate the corners, it claims many victims of crashes due to those over cooking it and going over a barrier or into a car or tour bus. Its better to make it back in one piece. Also take enough water, they charge triple the price for it at Sa Calobra as they can, better off topping up your water at the respol Service station on the Lluc. Have an awesome ride and enjoy your time there.

Nice bike! Just out of curiosity, because I know that bikefitting is the most important key to choose the right size, I noticed you are using 545 size, how tall are you and maybe you remember your inner length size? Many thanks for your response :)

It's pretty packed with traffic, as it's the only way up from Sóller, especially in peak season. In winter, it's quiet but wet due to the humidity. So not much of a win. There are much more fun and challenging climbs here on the Island that us locals know about.

Awesome, i havent done Randa yet but plan to on my next visit. Which side to you recommend for the climb? From south or from west?

Hey Ken, Awesome definitely do. The official climb starts in Randa itself. But the climb is pretty short so feel free to take it from both ways up ;)

Do you think riding a road bike regularly in Amsterdam would be more difficult than riding a typical Dutch bike ?
@jed7644
@jed7644 9 ай бұрын
Why would a road bike be any more difficult in Amsterdam than any other city? Flat bar town bikes with racks & whatnot are more convenient in any urban setting, & road bikes are mileage-makers. (shrug) Right?

Planning a trip to Mallorca in March. I've watched tons of Mallorca videos, and I find your video the most interesting and informative. I love the tips, such as no buses before 11, the bad cafe, and go the whole way to the sign. I hope more are coming.

Hey Russ, the weather here in march is pretty great, sunny, it’s not shorts and jersey for us but it’s 8 degrees as a low and around 17 as a high on average. April / May it’s starts to hot up more! Glad you enjoyed the video thank you for watching 🙏🏼

Absolutely loved this climb when I did it (three times, not all in the same day 😂) in April - great views, nice switchbacks, and wasn’t as warm as 28c. Oh and the food at Cycling Planet was ace too. The Cavendish 😋

@Pedallingthroughlife
@Pedallingthroughlife 10 ай бұрын
Hey, that's awesome! you have mountains right on your doorstep like Andratx! But be very careful, in Winter the mountain roads are slippy due to the cold, dew and less sun on the shaded parts. You can also head out to Calvià and head on the passes to Puigpunyent. Komoot has tons of loops. Pas Normal runs rides on a Monday, Wednesday and alternative Saturdays. Rapha and tanlines do similar with Cafe Du Cyclist doing a gravel ride every Friday evening at 7pm :) Lots going on :)

@@FortunaCzNam You make great points comparing T110 vs. T900 but understand, unless you’re Chris Froome, the T900 for the typical crit racer or die hard rider is more carbon layup then you’ll ever need. Chris Froome can feel the difference between the carbon layups, but I’m sure he’ll say they’re marginal. It’s like the difference between a $150k Porsche Carreras 4S and a $180k Porsche 911 GTS, both cars have far more power and capabilities than 99% of the population needs or will ever reach maximum use. So the F7 with T900 will be more than be enough bike for almost all of us, there’s a diminishing return at the T1100 price point.

Hey, thanks for the comment, if you're looking to buy, a bike fitter will help you get the correct sizing. Some people can be 180cm for example but be a smaller size because they they have smaller arms etc etc :)
