yes, it can grow and spread but no tap root, so I just pull out where I don't want it, but it's great for rock gardens or slopes where nothing can fluorish

Perfectly informative! I am sad to see people squawking about this plant. I have several varieties in my 75% native gardens. With a little forethought and attention, there a lots of ways to keep these beauties in check. I'll not be giving mine up any time soon!

No doubt. I'm in WV and I have experienced this invasiveness this year especially. It is all over my garden and looks like it's got deep (6-8 inches) runners. I'm afraid it may have crowded out my foxglove which I'm very sad about. Because of the runners, I'm afraid I'm going to have to spray it so it kills the roots too. I did love it for a number of years as it slowly spread, but again, this year, I'm blown away how much there is.

I absolutely love the smell! I love deadheading the flowers just to get the smell 💛💛💛 And great to know it’s a deer deterrent also, as I’ve planted this amongst my food forest and I’ve got some very pesky deer around 😊

Very helpful! Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge. How do you determine the color palette and the appropriate balance of colors selected? Looking forward to more videos on the planning and design process.

Use the flowers for medicine not let them be ''mess'' as you call it, lol.

What process? This video is worthless! It doesn't show anything that you can't infer from looking at the finished fence. Con heart redwood? I live in NorCal where a bandbox sized house sells for $2M, and the only time you see Con Heart in a fence is for $7m+ houses.

The New Zealand Manuka does not come as a ruby colour. The New zealand Manuka only comes in white colour. Also the nectar from that grown in new zealand is quite different from Manuka grown inother countries like in the US.Manuka Honey with MGO is only unique to New zealand. This is really fascinating.

I have been searching for YEARS for this favorite of mine back in 2003, but I could never remember the name, or what terms to google. Finally I saw "ornamental grass" in a different google search and - low and behold - there it was. Recently re-classified under Genus Oenothera lindheimeri. I love 'Siskiyou Pink' !

Most "pruning" that people do simply ruins the structure of their trees. It's usually not necessary. And even when it is, even professional tree services do it fast, cheap, and wrong.

Although I agree that it is difficult to control, I don’t want to part with it. I cut it back after the first blooming phase and then it will bloom again. I dig it out of areas where I don’t want it any longer which seems to work just fine. There is a pretty white variety as well.

I discovered this gorgeous plant in a nursery that I hardly ever go to about 5 years ago. The blooms are such a deep purple, the leaves have the texture of Lamb’s Ear on woody stems. I found it easy to grow and I always look for it in a nice nursery. Love it ❤
