Lived in rogers for 30+yrs and we rode to eureka all the time but my favorite place was stopping at the store for a cold pop and then ride down and sit in the shade by the river/lake, id love to live there in my last days ❤

Well, this is 5 years later, but I thought you did a very nice job when you visited Batesville. One of my ancestors, Jehoida Jeffery, was a surveyor way back in the early 1800's and surveyed out some of the streets in Batesville, in 1825. Yep, my heritage in this area goes way back to 1816.

Hmm, this is an old video, b4 there has been public awareness of riding elephants & what's involved in the training processes. A true sanctuary would not force an elephant to perform their past circus tricks, lift it's leg, speak on command, put a tourist on it's back, esp with the owner holding a bullhook in his hand. Also, making them walk with tails in trunks is insulting & they don't like it. Watch Lek Chailert docs & her elephant nature park. I applaud your dedication in loving Elephants, but there's a few things your doing wrong. They feel fear when u ask them to perform, so please stop doing that. TYVM

I stayed in the most unique room there, it was way upstairs and it had a whole wall of a mural with a guy in a loincloth swinging in the trees.

Few years back I was enjoying the scenery at lake Ft. Smith when I noticed a big hairy creature bathing in the water. Immediately I was noticed & it flipped me the bird so I welcomed it with the same motion. It wasn't to happy & started my direction when I decided to run for my life, it scared the living turds outta me. Even today I still suffer from PhD from the traumatic experience. That PhD is a hell of a thing.

Very nice video, Chuck! I like the cave tour with Susan Tigert. My guess is Susan has some Native American blood. My wife is half Mohawk, and she is proud of her heritage. By the way, my oldest daughter, Destany Lytle, is a tour guide. She should hook up with Susan one of these days. They'd have a blast!

When I was a teenager, I heard many stories from the older generation. They had some good stories. They are all gone now. I wish I would of heard all of them and could remember them. Main street has a life of it's own. Lol.

Floated in several years ago and got caught in a thunderstorm on trail to falls started to hail so went back and got under overturned canoes for protection as hail was large. Ended up spending the night because of storm but made for a great experience as the rain made the falls huge.

My grandfather, Allie James wife Liza, was the blacksmith in Ravenden Springs in the 1940’S and 50s. My other grandparents who lived here were Roy and Hazel Kellett. He had a gasoline station in the 50’s and 60’s. My parents were Gerald and Lora (Kellett) James were living here in the 40’s and early 50’s. He worked for Jerry Sallee raising cattle. I would love to hear from anyone familiar with the area and people. I was born in Hardy Arkansas but started first grade in Ravenden Springs. I remember the Bailey name as someone my relatives knew. I would love to move back to this beautiful area.
