Amazing scenarios guys! What you will find in carretera austral is really unique. Just take your time and don’t rush into the rain driving, as you will miss much of the beauty. Be sure to visit “Las cuevas de mármol” in General Carrera Lake. In 2020 I took my bike and ride solo the Ruta 7, definitely a memories maker that will last for a lifetime. Stay safe and keep enjoying the adventure.

Great vid you two. That water crossing looked like fun! Being from AZ I can relate to what it's like riding in that heat. Lots of water and breaks for sure. Are these videos pretty close to real time? Just trying to judge what time of year you're riding down there. ✌ Ride safe, be safe. Cheers.

@chiefenumclaw796011 күн бұрын
What makes this style of videos fun to watch is the comms system. Getting to listen to the perspectives of both parties. I can certainly identify with Haley about being 'hangry' - hot and angry. I don't do well in temperatures above 80f... and as much as I would like to replicate this trip, I think I'll be attempting it during a cooler time of the year.
@tworidewild10 күн бұрын
It's really fun for us to watch our videos back of us speaking together and when we have our own conversations on the bike. The weather really got the best of Hayley. Abit of a wake up call in what our limits are. With a trip like this, we're expecting both extremely hot and cold temperatures at some point! Our favourite riding is about 20C (68F) now 😂

Great video again - I know that feeling of putting your foot into it - I did the same in the dark immediately jumping into my left foot to remove my right foot from the ‘mound’ only to land in another with my left foot - left me with a very ‘shitty’ outlook 😎

Love your content! I'm thinking about buying the CRF300L Rally but am concerned about the seat height. I know the bike has a soft suspension, so my question is, do you find the luggage lowers the seat at all? What is the inseam of the rider, and do they have any concerns about flat footing the bike? You don't have to answer if it's too much trouble. Safe travels, friends.
@tworidewild17 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! The Honda is a great bike. The suspension is definitely too soft from new and the luggage plus the rider make it sag alot. This being said, it has helped Hayley as she's able to sit on the bike with feet flat on the ground. Hayley is 5'8" with an inseam of 30". I hope this has helped. Also there are suspension upgrade kits that can lower the bike to suit you. YSS is one example 🙂

@@tworidewild Thank you, much obliged. I'm a new rider, so the plan was to start with the Honda and then upgrade to a T7 after a bit more experience. But of course, the algorithm knows this which is why it recommended your channel. 😂

Just a tip for the deep sand or volcanic dust in this case, do NOT feather the clutch. Also starting in second will help get the wheel speed up which helps move you in sand. When starting out, get the RPMs up more than you would normally and drop the clutch. Unlike in mud you want the tire to spin. Once the bike starts moving get up on the pegs and use them to steer not the bars.

just a curiosity how much does it cost to ship bike to chile
@tworidewild29 күн бұрын
We found that sending our bikes via air cost around 50% more than via sea freight. Prices dramatically fluctuate month by month. If you're interested in shipping a motorcycle, we would suggest getting in contact with a motorcycle freight company or an airline directly for the most up to date pricing.
