Sorry Pete but I shake my head a little! You should know that your mind/ brain tell your hand to do somthing and then the body will follow! Not the hand tell your brain something and then the brain tell your body to move/ help ;) Its little funny also that a body swing coach like Pete Coven! Say its the hand and arm thats lead the sving moment! There you are 100% right! Good to see that from you Pete!

Pete Cowen, Mike Malaska, and Gary Player, these guys sure do love to hear themselves talk, If only we could learn to play golf that way. If you book a lesson at $150 an hour with these guys, I wonder how much of it would be you standing there listening to these guys tell you how much they understand the game of golf? Yes I know theirs a little thing called a mouse and I can just click on the screen to change

When using fingers guiding the club face on the back swing, is this not picking up the club? would appreciate if can answer, thank you in advance.
@guitar19502 жыл бұрын
Wrists and arms would pick the club up on back swing, not the fingers. As he demonstrates with the towel, simply a subtle countermovement of the fingers. Almost like moving the top of the hands towards each other.
@briangaitens42272 жыл бұрын
@@guitar1950 Thanks for the reply. So are you saying there is a bit of a pickup with wrists and arms on the back swing? also regarding fingers, do you mean like "Clasping" both the top of the hands towards each other? Thanks for the help...
@guitar19502 жыл бұрын
@@briangaitens4227 actually,for me, I don’t intentionally cock my wrists. The momentum of the backswing and the weight of the club sets my wrists near the top and during transition to the downswing. As Cowan demonstrates with wringing a towel, the fingers of each hand work in opposite directions on the grip. If during the takeaway, the fingers of both hands rotate in the same direction, for example: they rotate clockwise for a right hand golfer, the club pulls too far inside and the clubface opens too much. I focus mainly on keeping my wrists loose and my arms and shoulders as relaxed as possible throughout my swing. Hope this helps.
@briangaitens42272 жыл бұрын
@@guitar1950 Thanks Dave, yes that helps allot my friend. That's exactly what has been happening in my back swing take away, my fingers/hand have been rotating same direction on back swing, club head far way inside and open. I have now got both hands and fingers opposing each other and the grip for sure is more stronger and impact way better. Thanks for the help.
@guitar19502 жыл бұрын
@@briangaitens4227 you are welcome!!! Hope it keeps progressing in a positive manner. I've discovered there are two very important factors in a good golf swing. 1. Balance 2. Relaxed arms and shoulders. Adding in oily wrists and proper lower body movement helps too.
