Reign in Blood was the very first CD I ever bought back when CDs were cutting edge technology. Damn I'm Old! Had the first two on cassettes (remember those?) Hell Awaits probably my favorite, Reign production better but still love the tracks on Hell Awaits a little more. As I type this they're roaring through Praise of Death. Just Dope, what a great era to be in!

My first time seeing Slayer was in 91, with Testament, then that summer with Clash of the Titans and several more times, the last being when they were with Megadeth and Testament. Deth played RIP all through and Slayer did Seasons. Amazing show.

I was 18, the drugs, the pussy…then this shit happened. Never a better time to be 18. The 70’s the 80’s and 90’s. I’d say the best 30 years to be alive and young. Didn’t have cell phones and life was WAY better. We had an attention span over 8 seconds unlike the goldfinch youth of today. We were FREE. Today the youth are slaves to their devices. It’s pathetic. When this band hit it HIT HARD. Nobody ever heard anything like this . It was exactly what we the youth needed. Hard heavy expression. It was like a rock god came down and gave us all the greatest gift in the history of the planet. Thank you J C L and K.. oh and thank you Dave M. Wouldn’t have happened without him.

I'm surprised that no one has said anything about the double time performance of No Remorse. The bridge/end part seemed a step slow by comparison.

Saw them about 5 weeks earlier in PDX. I think Dave had left at that point and we had Tony Scaglione drumming, which was cool at the time because I really dug Whiplash. I was able to see Dave with Slayer many times over the years with the last being London, 2012. Did the entire Reign In Blood album at Alexandra Palace.

I got to meet Dave Lombardo in 1989 while on tour with Testaments. Met Chuck Billy too, that dude is vreakin tall but so nice. Gave me and a friend @15 yrs old a beer to share right off his bus.

@@stuartewoldt1513 Tom is not so tall... In fact I was so used looking up at him from the crowd I was shocked at how short he actually was... We got to this music venue extremely early and they were unloading equipment around the back, so we strolled back there and Tom was just standing there. We just walked up and shook his hand etc. . That was my cool rock and roll moment. It was the early 2000s, soulfly was opening.
