I'll be selling candles at a holiday market for the first time in September. I'm thinking of selling Apple Cider Donut, Sugar Cookie Royale, Leaves and Balsam Fir. Is there a scent I should add or replace one of the scents I've listed? I want to keep it to 5 total scents. Thank you

I would maybe add a pumpkin option, people go nuts for pumpkin anything that time of year. But other than that I think these are great options!

I noticed on all the videos I watched, no body mentioned the cost of the business liability insurance, is everyone working without insurance ?

Well I can’t speak for everyone else but we definitely have business insurance and you definitely want it for a candle business! This is just for calculating your cost of goods (what is actually being sold) that’s why I recommend you times that amount times 4 rather than times 3 though, that way it covers other expenses like that. Also adding a little extra either 10-20% or a certain cent/dollar amount etc like I did at the end with the little slider is always good to help cover your bases. 😄

I HATE Petrichor and Mahogany Teakwood and Fireside... Uncharted would be a hard NO for me! LOL I also hate dessert scents. They kinda gag me. All the ones you love would give me a headache and make me run for the toilet!

You need to run out NOW and get some shelled pistachios and make some brittle! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy the shell attached pistachios, you will hate all the work for such a small nut! I have a killer recipe and people LOVE IT!

Im a gardener so I love flower scents .... except Jazmin, it gives me headache , and patchouli reminds me of old lady perfume. nothing wrong with grandma's perfume, just not my favorite.

🙋♀️Hi Nick! Pistachios are absolutely delicious and healthy too! They have these at Costco at a good price for a 1 lb bag. There’s also pistachio ice-cream as well. Gotta try them and let us know how you like them! Thanks for the FO review. Great tips! Nick, which wicks are your favorites with the soy blends you use? I’m STILL in testing phase 😵💫😱😵💫 and blending 10% soy with 90% coco 83 and yikes, using both CDNs and HPSP and no consistant results between the diff FO I’m testing. I’m getting a bit better hot throw w the CDNs but they are similar otherwise. Oh the joys of wicking…🤪😅😂

Thank you so much for this video. I was so lost with the Candle Science Calculator. I knew I couldn't charge $33 for a 8 oz candle unless it was a luxury candle and even then that is a stretch. I feel much better pricing my candles after this video.

I always do 10% but honestly you could probably take it down to 8%-9% it’s a pretty strong thrower!

Wasn’t thrilled with Porter much. They took forever to ship and fo we’re overpriced and all of them were not very strong OOB or CT/HT. I like JoHanna and her personality but found other manufacturers who were less expensive with stronger fragrances.

Ahh I’m sorry to hear that! I haven’t had a ton of time to test out the fragrances I got but out of the bottle a lot of them smelled great. But yeah Cold throw and hot throw really are everything when it comes to fragrance oils! Haha.

The CAC from Makesy does have paraffin in it according to their website. Their CAC is different than the Calwax version… but according to most places that sell the calwax version it also has paraffin in it.

I’m pretty sure mine was off quite a bit e a bit too because I was so afraid “no one would buy a candle that expensive from me.” And now my prices are higher than that and I have no problem selling them to my target market! ❤️

I generally add them in through mailchimp because it automatically adds them to both. But I believe you can just go to "customers" in shopify and add them as a "new customer" and then there's a box that you check for them to be subscribed to emails. Either way works! :)

Hope you enjoy it!!! It’s so good! So yes absolutely I looove Honey Spiced Pear from them! It’s a huge seller for me and one of my personal favorites. Other than that I love Strawberry Poundcake! Also Dark Amber + Rosewood has been a good “limited edition” seller for me! OH! And French Toast! I had it for Christmas last year and it is SO GOOD. Smells exactly like french toast and it’s a strong thrower!
