I find WS-X1 very counter-intuitive... Can you direct me how can I PAN L/R track at playback through headhonbes? I mean I have stero drum machine 1-2 channels, bass on 3rd and stereo synth 4-5 ch. - I record one by one selecting or de-selecting DIRECT buttons (there's no other way, right?), but when they all play back, they're all in mono. That's odd.
@wehappyfewmusic21 сағат бұрын
Hi I was only borrowing this unit so haven’t got it available to be able to check unfortunately. I seem to remember you can record the buss outs as well as direct mode though?
@dustblowboro10 сағат бұрын
@@wehappyfewmusic yeah… its all good when you are recording a live take but doing trwck by track you csnt get any stereo image. it seems its just impossible. So when you play it back when everything is recorded, you can make it then

This is fantastic. And although I really admire the sonic quality you've achieved here, it also helps underscore one of the major truisms in the world of recording: there's no substitute for having a good song to record! Your tunes are fun to listen to and make me want to go record stuff!

@wehappyfewmusic19 күн бұрын
@@mikepass4435 Many thanks and great to hear you found it useful! I kept it pretty simple for the transfer to my computer (no mix bus compression etc). I’d recommend allowing a fair bit of headroom when transferring to digital though and going for a highish sample rate though (I used 24bit 48khz). Also double check that you’ve got both channels balanced on your audio interface to keep the stereo imaging of your mix intact.
