I have used the felt pads before. I dont think they clean as well as a regular cotton patch. At least that's what i saw with my bore cam.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (James 4:4) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30)

Hello dude, at firist, good job, i like your videos, and, just countinue! I have question for you... Is it posible to buy separate rifle stock with folding adapter and upgrade him on that chassis, or not, or AP have some chassis with folding solution ? I cant find answer, and i am very interested about AeroPrecision Solus cometition 15" chassis... Thank you, best regards!

The "chamber" bullet seating die in the arbor press is the only way to go for precision shooters. Keeps the bullet concentric, no flex or wobble from a traditional press, no marring on the nose of the bullet and repeatable accuracy to .001

When you look at chassis that are somewhat similar from multiple companies: Vision chassis: 1600 MDT elite chassis: 1600 C-4 chassis: 1999 AXSR AICS: 2760 Good Chassis in general aren’t cheap.

Hey RAD, I have a weird question for you. I'm wondering if you think it's worth the time to vacuum seal your ammunition in smaller batches so as to prevent any random changes to humidity levels of your powder over time. I haven't been able to prove this concept but in my mind it makes sense. I will typically load up 200 to 400 rounds at a time and that will usually last me a year or so. What are your thoughts?

If seating depth doesn’t matter, how does one determine the most accurately developed round for a particular gun?

A couple of points here.. the shape of the propellent grain is not an indicator of type. Double base propellent is also made in stick and flake form! A lot of ball propellant was made from old single base cannon powder! One of the most famous double based propellents, Cordite was made in stick form! My main reason not to leave powder in a measure is that it can result in cases being filled with the wrong powder. I know of two blowups that were down to residual pistol powder left in a measure being used to fill a rifle round. Always clear down any measures or containers at the end of a reloading session and return the components to their original packing containers!

I have been using the basic Lee Precision reloading press and dies for past 5 years. Reload 380, 9mm, 223, 308, and 30-06. In spite of it's budget Price, l get sub MOA precision. This single stage press may be a bit slower, but I enjoy the intimacy of handling every cartridge from start to finish.😊

THANK YOU for pointing out the faulting reasoning behind the velocity node crap (and more generally the absolute garbage reasoning that most reloading sources pander). That said, your example data is kinda extreme... it should jump out to everyone that the two groups of velocities are themselves quite spread out (es of 125fps on the left and 85 on the right). BUT that's not unrealistic and your point stands -- folks often just look at the averages to find a "flat spot" and forget that, in this case for example, you'd need ~350 shots in each group to confidently measure a 10fps difference in averages. The application of statistical reasoning in the reloading world is frightful.

The more I reload/shoot, the more I realize that basically all reloading “tests” are a waste of time/money. I think perhaps the only things that really matter are getting high quality components and bullet selection..

I started handloading 40 years ago and developed some very accurate handloads for .270 Winchester, .284 Winchester, .303 British, 7.65X53, 6.5X55, and .308 Winchester among others. All the loads I worked up were for hunting or milsurp rifles none of which could be misconstrued as target rifles. I did all that without knowing a thing about velocity nodes, barrel harmonics, shooting ladders, or which G model to use in calculating the BC of a bullet. What we knew back then was just about any rifle will shoot 1 to 1 1/2 MOA with a quality bullet, a full case of an appropriate powder (load density although we didn't call it that back then), and good shooting habits. The loading manuals had tables of MRT's in the back and we chose one appropriate to the area we would be hunting. I usually sighted my hunting rifles for two hundred yards which was virtually point blank range for any large game animal out to 400 yards. Later on, when I got into shooting milsurps accuracy was still important, of course but even more so was reproducing the same load as the military ammunition so you could use the original iron sights. Take the .303 British for example which I shoot in competitions. The MkVII service round developed 2,440 fps with a 174 gr. flat based spitzer bullet which is what I attempt to reproduce to stay in the iron sights classes.

Im new to reloading, 6arc, after I pour in the powder I put the bullet in upside down to keep track. When I pull the bullet out to load the round powder is stuck to the tip of the bullet, I guess static. How do I avoid static?

Thanks, Blake. Just picked up a Solus action after watching this series. Still in the break in period, but the RAD method of load development has been nothing short of outstanding. No load development using "break in" components yielded 1/2 inch groups and a 50 round SD of 8.8. Thanks again.
