Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, With a heartfelt conviction, I would like to share the following article with you. Please share this article with your leaders and the Christians you know. May God bless you and your entire family. Women need to cover their heads during prayer and prophecies to demonstrate obedience to God's authority for the sake of the angels observing their conduct 1、The reason women cover their heads is to serve as an example of obedience to God's authority for the sake of the angels observing their conduct (1 Corinthians 11:10). Angels have existed in the past, present, and will continue to exist in the future. Therefore, women covering their heads is not limited to the Old Testament period but applies to any time and occasion when there are angels observing their conduct. Women are to cover their heads during prayer and prophecies as a demonstration of obedience to God's created order and authority. 2、Long hair is not a covering and cannot replace the act of covering the head. Many people claim that the Bible states having long hair is equivalent to covering the head. According to this belief, women with long hair are considered to be already covered. Those who say this, some of them misunderstand the true meaning of the Bible because they are not very clear about it, while others use it as an excuse not to cover their heads because they do not want to. However, long hair is not a head covering and cannot substitute for the act of covering the head. The reasons for this can be found in 1 Corinthians 11:6 and 15. If we interpret long hair in verse 15 as a covering that replaces the need for an additional head covering, it contradicts the meaning of verse 6. If having long hair in verse 15 implies covering the head, then a woman who does not want to cover her head (verse 6) would mean a woman who does not want to have long hair. In that case, such a woman would already have short hair or a shaved head. If she has short hair or a shaved head, why would she need to shave her head again or cut her hair short to avoid covering her head? So, if the long hair mentioned in verse 15 is supposed to represent a covering, it contradicts the meaning in verse 6. Therefore, long hair is not a covering and cannot substitute for covering the head. 3、Trimming short hair or shaving the head is not the same as covering the head; it cannot replace covering the head. Many people claim that cutting short hair or shaving the head is equivalent to covering the head and can serve as a substitute. Therefore, many women cut their hair short to avoid covering their head because they are citing 1 Corinthians 11:6 from the Bible as justification. However, this interpretation reflects a misunderstanding of the scripture. In verse 5 of chapter 11, the Bible mentions that a woman cutting her hair short is a disgrace to her head. Therefore, how can verse 6 encourage women to cut their hair short or shave their heads as a substitute for covering the head? Clearly, verse 6 does not encourage women to cut their hair short or shave their heads as a replacement for covering the head. In verse 6, the Bible mentions that if women feel shame about having their hair cut short or shaved, they need to cover their heads. If covering the head means having short hair or shaving it off, then this verse would imply that if you feel shame about cutting your hair short or shaving it off, you need to have short hair as a cover. What does this mean? This doesn't make logical sense at all. Also, in verse 6, the Bible mentions that if women feel shame about having their hair cut short or shaved, they need to cover their heads. If short hair means covering the head, then this verse would become 'if women feel ashamed about covering their heads, you need to have short hair as a head cover.' How can women feel shame about a head covering, as it's a commandment from God? This also doesn't make any logical sense at all. So, head covering also does not mean having short hair or shaving it off at all. In verse 6, Paul is using irony to convey a message. He is motivating women not to cut or shave their hair because doing so is shameful (according to the customs of that era). He is emphasizing that choosing not to cover the head is just as shameful as having short hair or a shaved head. So, he is suggesting that if a woman doesn't want to cover her head, she might as well cut or shave her hair, as it would be equally shameful. This is the meaning. In chapter 11:3-16 verses we can see that God requires women to have long hair, and in new testament modern women should also keep their hair long because the Bible states that long hair is a woman's glory, and short hair is a disgrace to her head (You can pray and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit on the issue of keeping long hair). And, on the foundation of having long hair, God commands all Christian women to cover their heads during prayer and prophecies as a symbol of submission to the authority of God, expressing their obedience to God to the angels observing their conduct. 4、Covering the head is not a cultural practice; rather, it is an action women must exhibit during prayer or prophecies as a demonstration of obedience to God's authority for the sake of the angels observing their conduct. Many people do not cover their heads because they believe that head covering was merely a cultural practice of ancient times when women used to wear veils. Many people today argue that the cultural context has changed, and head covering is no longer necessary. However, the Bible here shows us that the head covering Paul requested is not referring to the cultural practices of that time but rather the act of women obeying the will of God during prayer and prophecies for the sake of the angels observing their conduct. Paul did not demand that women cover their heads at all times when they went out. Instead, he emphasized head covering specifically during prayer and prophecies. Therefore, Paul's requirement for head covering is not rooted in cultural custom but rather an action to be displayed before God for the sake of the angels observing their conduct. Because if it were for cultural practices, Paul would have instructed the sisters to cover their heads wherever they go, not just during prayer and prophecies. But Paul did not say that women should cover their heads at all times; rather, he said that women should cover their heads during prayer and prophecies. Conclusion: I encourage you to carefully read the teachings on head covering in 1 Corinthians. To all brothers and sisters reading this article, please pray sincerely to God, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the true meaning of the verses about head covering, and start following God's teachings in the Bible. Do not find excuses to deny the true meaning of head covering just because you do not want to cover your head. Please share this article with leaders for careful consideration and send it to sisters who are not yet covering their heads during prayer and prophecies. May God bless you and your entire family.

I need provisions desperately. I am learning why my life has been a constant struggle. I know I’m not a victim and I cry out to God every day yet my provision is on hold. I’m 63 and supporting my adult son who has congestive heart failure. We can’t pay all our debts. It’s going on a year and his benefits are still not coming through. I don’t know what else to do and I repent daily. Prayers for us are greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I will walk my understanding of James 2:14 through Ephesians 2:8-22. What happened when Peter took action, and stepped out of the boat? If Peter’s action were to “prove” his faith, he would be able to boast about walking on water. But his action led him to realize it was not his stepping out, but Jesus lifting Him out of his action which saved him. I’m not saying your interpretation of the scripture is wrong. I’m certainly not saying mine is correct. For me, currently, it remains a mystery in which I will continue to seek His face. Many Thanks! 🙏✝️☺️
