@sswishbone26 күн бұрын
no this was the PS1 being experimented on via emulation. I imagine if you have the GD Rom based Action Replay for Dreamcast it should still be out there. The code was listed as something like "game already completed" and I have a video on my long dormant Twitch channel exploring it further. www.twitch.tv/videos/226693983

The only advice I'll give on this game... as you seem to have gotten a handle on most of the rest of it, is that you need to learn to recognize enemy counter attacks. If an enemy is attacking way more than it's supposed to, chances are it's just countering, and you need to find a way around that.
@sswishboneАй бұрын
nice tip, I'll be certain to bear that in mind. It seemed to be the case when switching elemental affinity in the final boss encounter we had.

I may recall incorrectly, but I believe now that Marle has a Cure spell you can multi-heal with it but pressing L or R are when selecting a target (a mechanic from my beloved FF VI), which can be helpful if you can't wait for Aura Whirl.

Yeah, sadly your prehistoric trip was premature plotwise. The last plot point before that was Robo saying something like "if we defeat Magus in the Middle Ages, we can change time (as in Lavos won't destroy the world). I think that was the game's hint of where to go next. Hindsight's always 20/20, but that's what I got from analyzing the speech boxes.

The only anime I've really seen is The Record of Lodoss Wars (the first and second ones back when VHS tapes were still a thing) and the Persona movies. I've seen a few episodes of Dragon Balls and One Piece but never gotten into them. I'd rather play/watch games to be honest.

If I member correctly there's a set number of things you need to/not do in order to get the not guilty verdict. Other than finding the girl's cat and not eating the man's lunch, I don't recall what they are. You find him later, but the fastest way to get Silver Points once you have a full party is the to beat up the singing robot over and over again for 10 SP. I was too timid in grade school as well, or I'd pointing out every little thing teachers say that was just fundamentally wrong.
@sswishboneАй бұрын
it's really crazy what you should or shouldn't do to be not guilty. Ace Attorney definitely took influence from this lol I was punky and got in all sorts of trouble for it. Not that it matters much now.
@TheKpa11Ай бұрын
That court scene man. Very shocking programming. Actions having consequences in game is still inconsistent even today. I’m surprised you got not guilty. You got games that sneak it in, others that have to have text that it’ll have consequences, and others that fail to have them meaningfully
@sswishboneАй бұрын
it was a funny interpretation and fit a middle ages period quite well. It was almost like Monty Python with the witch trial "If she weighs close to a duck, she's made of wood, which makes her... a witch!!" same sort of stupid leaping logic. No idea how I swung the jury though XD

I find the concept of Sin interesting cause its immortal existence is like recreating the hero’s journey over and over again to essentially reset the world’s peace Legend of Zelda is like that as well with Ganondorf, link and Zelda And the idea of uniting the world against a common enemy is like in Wild Arms 2 with using terrorism to bring about cooperation Giving the world an enemy to blame and hate

@sswishbone4 ай бұрын
not sure how it is cringeworthy - or lacking masculinity for that matter - to call out needless violent content. I get Okabe's desperation, I get his anger, I don't get the violence. Be aware I was also live at this point, all my let's play are 100% raw in one take it and this particularly affected me. I have no doubt it also affected people in my audience. Thanks for watching and your comment, really appreciate the feedback. As for being cringeworthy... If you think this is bad, look at some of my other let's plays XD
@Freezorgium4 ай бұрын
@@sswishbone what do you mean it's "needlessly violent"? He's trying to steal the phone off an actual murderer in order to save his friend, and he's not even throwing punches or anything, he's just trying to forcefully restrain her, and you're sitting there all hot and bothered saying shit like "the creator should be ashamed of themselves" (??????) just because someone in the chat is egging you on about how "uncomfortable" it is and how they're "triggered" or some crap.
@sswishbone4 ай бұрын
@@Freezorgium it is needlessly violent. Let's take the angle of "it's stealing a phone to save their friend's life.". Okay, then why is there headbutting? Why is there one-sided kissing? Why is there the lines at 3:00:24 implying that one party was somehow into this? Why at 3:01:11 is there commentary about the protagonist and the sight being alluring some other time? It's pretty clear the scenario writer truly did not comprehend the impact of their work (and I say scenario writer as this is a translation, after all). As for your allegation of my audience egging me on? Please comprehend that due to how streaming works, I am at least 30 seconds ahead of my audience, their comments did not appear until after I gave my reaction. So I implore you to not throw unwarranted comments at the audience who were present. Your issue appears to be with my reaction.

Whenever i see a tropical setting, i just think of the sweating that must develop from it So I end up cringing seeing overly dressed people next to skimpily dressed ones More so with the designs that do both. Baggy clothes, with revealing openings to them which makes it look like they’re trying to do a middle ground with them
@sswishbone5 ай бұрын
it's interesting as when I've been in tropical countries I have seen the same difference in fashion, never quite understood it. Most of the issue is actually down to material thickness, a lot of my clothes are horrible in the tropics as they are thick fibres and trap heat. A nice thin material does a long way
