Assalamu'alaykum, on the "love unconditionally" part, what about the ruling of love n hate for the sake of Allah?

A.A sister, i am always learning so thank you for mentioning this. Just for clarity, All these affirmations are to better myself for the sake of Allah swt. I personally feel loving unconditionally is something i strive for because then i ‘hate’ less. Hate for me is something that causes me pain first then whoever has the misfortune of hearing my negative words. I cant see any good in it. Also considering this ayah.. ( O you who believe! Stand devoutly for Allah as witnesses of justice, and do not let your animosity for some people prevent you from being fair. Be fair, as it is closer to piety, and observe your duty to Allah. Verily, Allah is all-informed of what you do! ) [Surah al-Maa’idah, 5:8] ..i chose to be closer to piety in any way i can. Its a personal choice i feel. I respect the fact that we can hate disobedience but like Mufti Menk said, we may have witnessed the Sin but have we witnessed the repentance so i always try not to judge or hate. It is not a sin not to hate 🤲 Pls feel free to share more of your thoughts iA
