Not sure how to directly reply to a comment now that I HAVE to sign in with my Google+ account. But anyway this is to johnsurf911: I saw the SIMAC label on a piece of equipment too (SMS bought SIMAC in 1969, and no I do not have a clue why I know this lol), which could be how you knew it was SIMAC, or possibly you recognized their equipment from experience (if it is the latter, then I am quite impressed. Lol not that my opinion has an effect on you in any way). The video is very good but I have the same complaint with it that I have with a lot of these vids, they need to have a narrator describing what is going on at each step in the process. I know that would cost more money but it would be very helpful to people who do not know (which would be most people) but want to learn about the equipment and processes. I work with companies in the steel/aluminum industry and have some knowledge of the equipment and processes, but I am far from an expert and want to learn more. Cheesy 70's porn style music does not teach you very much lol.

Hello Holden. Actually SIMAC was founded in 1969, and was acquired by SMS in the nineties . I recognized the video because I am a former employee of SMS Group S.p.A. (the current name of SIMAC).I agree with you about the music :)

@@johnsurf911 Thanks for setting me straight on this I appreciate it. I can't argue (argue is too strong a word to use) with you because you worked at SMS (meer?) but I will say that according to Bloomberg "The company was formerly known as SIMAC and changed its name to SMS Meer S.p.A. in 2005". Bloomberg has been wrong before. I landed back on this video while doing a search on Danieli rail rolling mills for an upcoming project I'm working on.

the file name is misleading. the plant manufacturer was SIMAC (part of SMS group) of Italy, not Danieli.
