One of my favorite sound tracks, up there with Singles 😁

I tend to skip Daltrey's cover of "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" and "Power Play", which weren't even in the freakin' movie, but everything else is just excellent. And despite being Peak Cheese, Tim Capello's "I Still Believe" has become an ultimate 80's anthem. His recent renaissance of recognition in shows like Reservation Dogs (which is absolute incredible and highly recommended) and throughout countless synthwave releases over the past few years just warms my heart. This movie and soundtrack were hugely influential on me when they were released. I was ecstatic to find a flawless promo pressing of the soundtrack, even if the mastering of some of the tracks isn't hardly audiophile quality.

@@packgrog Once I got the CD, I'd sometimes skip Power Play and Beauty Has Her Way (they don't do much for me) but being as I had this as a cassette first, I listened to the whole thing. I also really like Jimmy Barnes with Cold Chisel; gems I learned more about from my ex who was a kiwi. Thanks for the TV show recommendation too.

Bryan Ferry made some of the most sophisticated chic music of his time. So unique and Universal as well. He reached across the genres and at the same time created his own. True rock star genius.

Bryan's romanticism is honestly expressed. He vividly captures ambivalent emotions in high definition and with rich colors.

The adverts that appear halfway through the songs is ridiculous and annoying plus completely disrespectful to the artist 😠

Rik is so rare...virtuoso voice and guitarist! Awesome..fan since '78! Saw them four times, starting in '78/'79 at the old coliseum in Evansville, IN....last time in 1986.

That's awesome! Also hilarious that my grandmother lived the last 15 years or so of her life in Evansville.
@jeffwarren49382 ай бұрын
@packgrog that is cool...I was born and raised in Princeton, IN about twenty miles north of Evansville, on U.S 41. Then lived in California from '87 to '97...then back to Indianapolis, and then back to southwest Indiana. Retired a few year back and moved to Arizona for the last four years. First saw Triumph in high school in Evansville..also saw them in '86 in Evansville, and twice in Indianapolis between those two tours. They were huge at my high school '77 to '81. I can still remember the first time hearing Rock and Roll Machine leaving my high school parking lot, one of my best friends that played guitar turned me on to them! Blinding Light Show was one of our anthems we partied to back in the day!

Saw BF in Arizona in 1988. What a concert in a amphitheater. Women to men ratio was 3:1. I had to ditch college classes for 2 days because I lived in New Mexico. Well worth it. The followup to Boys & Girls. He is the best kept secret in contemporary musique.

Always takes me back to my travels to Thailand. I picked up a bootleg audio tape of this album in Bangkok along with a Neil Young Crazy Horse album - both with dreadful sound quality. I bought the published album of this when I got back too - a legit' vesion - so I didn't diddle Ferry out of his royalty dues. In India the year before, I was all over Boys and Girls. Why some say it was not one of h is better albums is beyond me. It is fantastic although I think Boys and Girls is better. Funny how music is so attached to memories.
