When I was a young boy {about 70 years ago} I remember going to this place with my grandfather {Angelo Mifsud} who I believe used to do some work there in the kitchen. We used to walk there and back from Zejtun; a long walk for a little kid but very interesting while listening to my grad dad talking.

I was there in 1962. I was a naval apprentice on my first foreign posting, aged 20. In spite of our innocence at the time, we did know what Strait Street was all about out. I have been down there from top to bottom many times, without sampling the many wares on offer. Mostly we sampled the local beer choices, Cisk, Hop Leaf or Blue Label, or the local wine, Marsovin.

It's nice to have a KZfaq channel sponsored by the Maltese tax payer. Do what others do ,produce content that pays for itself.

what i didn't like from the footage is the drone is closing in too much instead of zooming in with the camera, its disturbing the birds. otherwise is magnificent

It's wonderful that they are growing. I have visited the bird sanctuary in 2013 and it is so exciting to see what they are doing. To get the children to see how the nature and birds live is so important. And for the hunters to stop shooting exotic birds like the Flamingo they shot several years ago. Great job. When I come to Malta I always make it a point to stop by, but they are not always open when I'm there. Thank you 😊

As a child I used to join a round Malta trip with boat. Filfla was one of the stops. We would swim to it and walk around the small island. We also used to collect bombshells. Quite scary when I think of it as an adult.
@suzettecalleja31223 ай бұрын
It's illegal to kill the birds? Tell that to the hunters. A few years back they shot a Flamingo in the middle of some shallow water and took a boat out to is to collect it.

When I visited Malta ten years ago I stayed very near to the St John 's co cathedral. I attended Holy Mass in the cathedral almost every day and thanked Our Lord at each Mass for "bringing me to Malta." Who knows, I might visit this most beautiful island some day again (I am from Cape Town, South Africa) and have the opportunity to visit this monastery!
