What rpm are you running at 60 mph on Z and G? Is there a +1 front, -1 back chain drive gear from Z and G? Any difference?
@alexdombi-weridetwo3 күн бұрын
Good questions. I was running the z with stock gearing and based on other videos with it, it looks like at 60mph it was about 8500 rpm. I don't have any clips showing the Grom at 60mph nor do I have access to one at the moment, so I can't say. Doing what you say about +1 front sprocket and -1 on the rear will absolutely give you higher top end, but with such small amounts of power I feel doing that will not add enough top end to counteract the loss on the bottom end.

Village has the best night racing in North Texas. Saturday nights are a lot of fun and a lot of people show up. You can see the entire track from anywhere you are viewing it from. We park on the backside and sit in the bed of the truck and hoot and holler at all the racers we know. They also have the MiniX series, which is amazing for young new riders to get to race on one of the best pit bike/mini tracks I've ever seen. It even has start gates, lights and a tower. The main track is also cool. It is one of the few tracks in Texas that actually has elevation change with true step ups and true step downs. But, it has kind of gone downhill the last couple of years. However, they just gave it a make over in June, so it's better now. It is also the only track I've ever been to where you can see a downtown skyline from the track (Fort Worth). That's how close it is to the city. The only thing I don't like about Village is that it is Port a potty only; which is not cool for the ladies.

Nice video mate, thanks. I'm new to the DFW area but Village is on my list of nearby tracks to try out. And yeah, organised practises often mean limited riding time as they try to keep it safe for everybody - it used to annoy me but ultimately, tracks where they care that much about the people who ride them tend to be better run, maintained and now I get it, and appreciate that. But definitely a factor if you are travelling more than an hour to get there...... Gonna go check out your Underground vid now, thx man !

@josuemarquez290312 күн бұрын
My question is does that happen on a bad stators and rectifiers? Does the power and engine turn off wile riding?
@alexdombi-weridetwo12 күн бұрын
If the stator goes bad the bike will run until the battery voltage drops too low to sustain power and the bike will shut off, yes. If the battery is healthy it will recharge itself somewhat and may allow you to start the bike after sitting off for a while and then the bike will shut off again after the charge is gone. It does sound like you have this same problem, but it's worth verifying the voltage of the bike above idle to see if there's more than 13v to charge the battery while riding.

I will be 51 this year, and Im 5' 3". Been riding cruisers (all Suzukis). While I love the comfort of the cruiser, I always throw them around as if riding a sport. Had the ls 650 (s-40 2012), the C-50T. When I ride, the needle is always at the max. And I hate cars passing me. I seen a 750 sport, and thought I was smoking it, because I was on a 850 and it was a 750. But he was playing with me like a dog with his food, and I didnt realize it until I was like... Where the **** did he go! Needless to say, I went to the dealership to get an Ultra Classic. It was gone! I eased over to the sport bikes as I always do, just dreaming of what it would be like. Not agreeing with ppl saying "we are too old for those." I seen a few, but connected with a 2019 GSX-R, with 1,300 miles on it for about 13,000. Real carbon fiber on it (whatever that means), and some very short pipe. (I asked what all were mods) Long story short, Im waiting to pick it up this week. Dont know if I will regret leaving the cruiser for it, because I like 2, 3, and 4 hour rides. But God willing, I will pick up another cruiser in a couple years. I plan to ride on bike nights and weekends. A few trips to Myrtle Beach and VA Beach if I can stand it. And definitely plan to go to the track if I will not have to change to different tires to ride on the street after leaving the track. Never rode a sport bike... But I just got to!
@alexdombi-weridetwo14 күн бұрын
It's not impossible to do 2+ hour rides on a sport bike by any means but it definitely depends on your body. There are many tires that are suitable for street and track use that will fit the 750, especially at a novice pace. I highly recommend track days for training and for fun! Best of luck and stay safe out there!

I really like the SE model with the real brakes. No need for a quick-shifter, or lean computer, keep it simple for the real man motorcycle. I had a 2011 Z1000, which I loved. So quick, yet reliable, and handsome. I got rear-ended though by a kid in a FORD Explorer at a traffic light. I really like the new 2024 Z900SE or the 2024 GSX1000s naked also. It would be a toss-up. Both are perfect bikes. Yeah, put a full exhaust on it and get a tune. So nice.
@alexdombi-weridetwo15 күн бұрын
So sorry to hear of your accident! I'm glad you're relatively alright, though. While not completely necessary, the SE has much more adjustable suspension too which is a very nice add. The green frame looks amazing too. I do have a video on the GSX1000 if you're interested (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m72bmqqT0-CXZZs.html) Looking at the used market, they don't seem to hold their value as well as the Z900 does- but the quickshifter is really smooth on them. I see more of the Z900's out around Houston than the GSX1000S which could be a good or a bad thing depending on if you want uniqueness or recognition. Spoiler alert, in the video I said I'd choose the Z900 ;)
