Have driven the entire length. My favorite stretch is through the gold country, Sonora to Auburn. South of Jamestown down to Madeira is an amazing road, but very different from the northern stretch, scenery and tarmac wise. Looking forward to doing the northern stretch again. It never gets boring. Best on a weekday and not during the summer months. Fun car definitely recommended!
Magnificent Residental Area🌴. So beautiful villas!

Thank U 👍. Cool tropical hoiliday resort place, to stay and visit. How vast the Waterfront area was, was suprising! The park area near Naval Station in the end of video was amazing too.

Sure has changed big time. I lived in Santa Cruz from 1973 till 1991. Went through 4 disasters. Miss the ocean but not the changes. Capitols was close living a few blocks back in the day! Enjoyed watching your video. Thanks

Excellent video, I lived there from 2007-2013 and miss it everyday. I moved to Cebu Philippines after Hawaii and wanna go back. My early 20s in the army were spent there every chance I got. Best years of my life.

Absolutely beautiful; the city and the video! My mother was born in Key West, but eventually moved up north. I visited there when I was ten; that was in 1963. Its both changed and remained the same, both for the better, in my opinion. The house she lived in is still there; just fixed up enough to look better while retaining the integrity of the structure. If I could, I’d love to spend my remaining years there. But lack of enough money and a husband I need to convince keeps me here (Kentucky) for now. Thanks for an hour’s worth of sheer delight!!!

Yeah, 1963 was so long ago so its not surprising things have changed with things becoming more modern and updated especially with building code improving in relation to withstanding hurricane force winds and things of that nature. I am in Michigan, born and raised in Michigan but I know a lot of people have been moving to Florida in the more recent years for a better lifestyle cause Florida in general stays warmer and you don't need to deal with the snow which makes outdoor activities possible to partake in all year round.
