hey Nidhi, so glad to hear you put yourself, mental health and being over a job. Glad to hear you are taking the time for yourself in these interim jobless weeks. What job did you end up landing and how did it/ is it going? I was just in a similar situation with a new grad position that was not a good fit and I quickly realized inpatient nursing is not for me. Luckily the start perfectly aligned and I am now working an outpatient clinic position that I absolutely LOVE! Feel like I have to pinch myself daily, "Is this true? Can my lief be this wonderful?" truly amazing and so so happy for myself and my mental health and overall health that I made this decision.

@@T4CO1776 The 12 hour shifts happen over 3 separate days. There are 24 hrs in a day. You work 12, take 12 off. ergo, ibso facto: Your work 3 days (12 hrs / day) and then have 4 days where the 24 hrs are all yours. And most of the people commenting work in healthcare. We know exactly what the Nurses' schedules are.

@@melissahahn4779 they arent saying "in a week" its saying she works 3 days, then 5 off. Like she works sunday monday tuesday, then has wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, and the next sunday off. then starts the next shift on monday, works tuesday AND wednesday, etc etc.

It's a pay period. She works 3 days, gets 5 off, and then works another 3 days. She never said "a week."

my entire cohort (100) swore they were going to be peds nurses until the rotation. I was in a very large teaching hospital and the entire culture of the pediatric hospital was so incredibly toxic from the PICU to the NICU and everything in between. The nurses hated the students, ran from us and treated us like garbage. Needless to say the only thing I learned from that rotation was that I hated peds and dealing with the families and nurses was even worse. Nurses obviously forget where they come from smh

Just say "I haven't passed yet." Don't take it as a failure but see it as a learning opportunity. There is a lot of power in "Yet", you are telling yourself that you will get there and that your eyes and heart are still fixed on your goal.

I took the nclex exam last month. I'm very disappointed, the exam is not even close to the practice material that the prep book sells online. The level of difficulty is like 5x or 6x.

Wow!!!! congrats and thanks for the encouragement words for all the people who have not take the NCLEX yet. yes, it is a crazy test for sure. I also used Mr Richard brown review material's. Which | studied for 1 week and my test shut off at question 85. 1 cried too when I got my results. PASS

Hello guys if you are preparing for nclex be it RN or PN i suggest you Dr Luther review materials, the are tje best review materials specially for repeat test takers, i passed with Dr Luther on my 4th attempt i thank God who send Dr Luther my way and i knew him through a friend of mine who was also my classmate back then in the high school
