You can buy traces repair packs. You glue the replacement traces onto the PCB. A wire is a temp fix. It works but isnt pretty. Some people hammer the wire flat and use that as a trace. You need to have a replacement almost as big as the original trace.

You should have used trace clue or tape to tape it back down the soldered across if say you had a gap use trace replacement tape
