If you ever see people who raise f1 type bass for stocking reason they hand feed them shad and other food and the bass know who they are and learn to move in on people feeding them in the grow ponds, the main stock bass are like wild pets who love the attention. Bass are a 100% underappreciated fish.

Be nice if you did another video on when the babies are present and how they defend them while babies are swimming around in a scool. And what they do when something is dripped in their nest. Good video.
@moonpleco508323 сағат бұрын
Spat out saliva as nest building material (foam saliva), eh cultural differences among species 😆. One species choose another, chichlid -like way of raising their youngs. It's chocolate gourami. During spawning female lays eggs to the ground , male fertilize them, then female pick up them to her mouth where incubation begins. After 2 weeks (average time, may vary) young fishes leave their mum's mouth. From now they are able to live by themselves.

I realized half my babies had the same yolk sac when they came, only a few survived, i tried the best I could but the mother had this big red bump at her behind and i made the mistake of putting her in the breeding tank too early, she died 3 days later , RIP
@TheDave333Күн бұрын
Sorry for your loss. Motherhood is difficult. Pregnant female guppies are easily stressed to the point of illness. Avoid using breeder boxes, a 5 gallon bucket or even a 2.5 gallon bucket would be better. If at all possible, try to keep the mother guppy in one place it's less stressful. Don't give up, keep trying, keep learning. <•))))~{

Then do it! Buy a mask, snorkel, and fin set at Dick's Sporting goods for about $50.00 and go snorkeling. If you've never done it, learn how, go slow, stay calm, breathe normally. It's not that hard. And then you'll be able to enter a whole other world that very few people ever see.

It's a shame that a sport is the reason we have lost countless species, and that these perfectly delicious and healthy to eat bass have such ridiculous minumum size and harvest limits. Our waters would be a lot more healthy and diverse if we would responsibly harvest more of them.

Hello my friend. Let me first apologize for taking so long to see this. My days have been so filled with the legal matters of a death, that by the end of a day all I can do is sleep to renew myself for the next round government forms, death taxes, accountants, bankers, and notaries. This was hauntingly beautiful David, and exactly what I needed. I think your desire to form a deeper relationship with these fish is natural. You were patient with them, and your energy would be understood as pure of purpose. There is a world of difference between a human entering their world to feed and commune with them, and a worm on a hook dropping in from nowhere. I don’t believe you harmed them. They never see those who catch them, but you are familiar to them. You enter their waters many times, and do them no harm. Your love and reverence for them is apparent in the looseness of your body language, and you don’t offer your gifts and tease them by pulling it back, or try to touch their bodies. One day, they will swim past you and stroke your body with their sides, as a token of affection and thanks. You have renewed me for the day that lies ahead. Thank you so much.💖🖤🇨🇦
